They suck for gaming. As in, not nearly optimized to the degree that Nvidia and AMD extend their development support too.

Intel iGPU drivers are about ensuring compatibility with monitors, GDI and DirectX. That's fundamentally about it.

So far, Intel seems to be taking driver development seriously based on feedback. Obviously due to ensuring a good launch of Arc. The question remains how long they will keep up the momentum; because they have a quite a mountain to climb to get where Nvidia is at. In fact, AMD isn't even close to where Nvidia is too, but they're way head of Intel in that regard.

I hope the drivers improved significantly otherwise there's little point to buy it. But price seems fine if the performance claims can be backed up.

I'd love to see how pricing goes lower down the stack, and when those of us with the discount vouchers from their earlier scavenger hunt can actually use them. Hope availability is worldwide too.
 
As of pricing vs competition, keep in mind Intel know there will be rough edges. Where it works, it'll work great, but there will be weak areas too. That is factored into the price. They just need to get going at all, even if it means not making a good profit in the short term. 

Only annoying thing with the graph given is that they express the performance difference in percentages, which dosent really help if we don't know how the 3060 performed. I'd like to see it against the 6600xt since that'll probably be it's closest competitor

Just get the Gainward and save some money. These cards don't run hot and use fairly low power, especially if you undervolt.

These operate the same as GPUs now, target temperature and will boost until either temperature target is reached or power limit, whichever comes first. So they pretty much don't operate like any CPUs from the past, AMD or Intel.
 
In a way I quite like that, flip side puts another nail in overclocking. Or makes that even more simple when the best and most correct way is better cooling and if required a power limit increase. Certainly becoming more user friendly to OC CPUs like this, as it is for GPUs.
 
Makes no difference at all, temperature of the CPU has no effect at all to the loop temperature or other components in the loop. All you need to consider is power usage, that's it. A CPU using 150W with a Tcase of 55C is literally the same as a CPU using 150W with a Tcase of 95C, one of the CPUs just has really bad thermal transfer. Both are putting in the same amount of energy in to the loop.

I'm quite certain AMD is saving V-Cache part options for 13th Gen competition, literally no reason to release those any sooner. If it's as good as it was for the 5800X3D then things should still be quite competitive, biggest threat to AMD regarding Intel 13th Gen is their current large lead in the top end parts for productivity type workloads which should be closed quite a lot or maybe even surpassed.

Ryzen 7000 is so cool and so disappointing at the same time.
Definitely not worth upgrading from Ryzen 5000 - at least for me - but I want one anyway. 
 
I really like the addition of integrated graphics on all chips. Makes troubeshooting graphics card issues so much easier!

Haven't we learnt many times before, clock is only one contributing factor to performance? Let's see how the whole performs before getting too excited.
