It actually looks like i'm stable...
I am running at 1.325 volts, and if I am actually stable at 4.0GHz while at 1.325 volts, then my 1920x is in the top percentile.
I suppose the instability was due to reaching TJuntion Max.

Welp, I got the Noctua cooler installed, now time for an image dump.

The spread was fairly well on the AIO. what you are seeing on the edges of the CPU are dust, I have had this machine for about a year, and I haven't cleaned it out yet.
I need to get to that.

I cleaned the heat spreader off, standard practice, nothing special.

This is something that I didn't know, the TR4 Noctua coolers have offset screws on the mounting bars.
This allows for more space between the PCIe slots and the cooler if desired by raising the cooler slightly.
As you can see, I set the cooler to be 6mm higher (technically lower for me since my motherboard is inverted) then the stock configuration.
Also, yes, the cooler was resting on my leg in that pic, enjoy the hair.

The cooler installed, as you can see, I have about a finger's worth of space, albeit a snug fit.
My middle finger measures about 62mm in width, for those who want a more accurate approximation.

What it looks like fully installed, i'm going to get a couple of redux fans since the stock brown Noctua fans are rather visible since I had to move them back.

    And now for temps.

This was the average idle temperature for the AIO.

And this is the average idle temperature for the Noctua cooler.
I honestly wasn't expecting such a large drop in idle temps, but I find that pretty impressive, i'm going to try overclocking next.

    I entered a drifting competition!
I didn't win, in fact I was at the bottom, but it was an amazing experience! I got into 14th place, out of 20. All the drivers had balls of steel, my mate won the 1st place with his BRZ. I lost my guts all of the sudden, being watched by a lot of people made me nervous. Plus the rear suspension issues really held me back, oh yeah.... Overheating engine too.
No tandem, just regular scoring by the judges based on smoothness, how dangerous and beautiful the drift was.

I BUILD MY PCS ON THE FLOOR, DEAL WITH IT SCRUB!

No, but seriously, the cardboard box that comes with the motherboard is perfectly fine for building a PC on.  Also, please don't build on plastic, plastic can actually hold a static charge on it rather easily.

    Also, why Swiss army knives?

Well, my NZXT Kraken X62 is incapable of cooling my 1920x, but I was able to temporally OC it to 4.0 GHz.
And, this is the Cinebench difference between stock and 4.0 OC.

    So, 202 points higher.
    Also.

Yes, I actually did that to keep the CPU from thermal throttling.
    It fucking melted so fast...

Also, quick notes, I need 1.45 volts to remain stable at 4.0 GHz.
But, that produced way too much heat even for the ice.
So, the benchmark was performed under 1.35 volts, which isn't stable, but it lasted long enough for the benchmark to complete.

Yes, my room is a mess.

Disabling Core 0 and changing some Process Priority in Windows makes the 2990WX 2x faster in the Windows Benchmark (at least in this particular one... scoring 3,0 to 3,1 instead of 1,6). It scores around 3,5 to 3,6 on Linux.
