@Delicieuxz You may want to look at this since you were mentioned in the video. (Not sure if you are aware or not)
Anyway, I think most people on this forum should be interested in watching this video. I know it mainly talks about "GAMES" but this also has a big implication on any "SW" licences.
I thought the arguments were very well put and explained and have a good standing with the law. I know the video is quite long but I dont think that I can put a TL;DW summary without missing important things.
Im just throwing this out as a status update, feel free to make a topic about it if you want guys.

I'm a fan of Ross', and the 'games / software as a service' propaganda is an important topic, so I'm glad that I was able to help there!
I've meant to update that 'software ownership 101' thread for a bit now with additional information clarifying laws which state people own their software - including in the US. Now I wish I had done it sooner.

I just finished watching the full video. It's brilliant in informing people and helping and furthering the cause.
Big thanks for sharing it with me! Now, I'm off to make a Tech News item about it.

Hi, did this work for games of "UBIsoft" too, since they change *UPLAY* to *UBI-CONNECT* ?
They are one of the biggest GAAS (Gaming as a Service) "Provider" who is well known for their Money-tactics (France & Montreal, but Money goes via NL for cheap taxes).
They closed their specific Game Servers for a lot of "old" Games....Players who buy&Play them in past, now:
- - unable to play them,
- - or can play only the half of Game,
- - of some titles "at base" are unable to RE-install the Game ...
= Fraud...?
Also another good Info about the "bad Money Making Machine" (player milking) and their GAAS-Practics is found HERE (german- pls use page-translator)
Cheers
