  1. I'm coming from Michigan. Definitely flying out, but it might be cool to go in on an Air BnB for a night...
  2. There was a sponsor and I can't remember the name. They offer a service that generates random CC numbers for purchases or something like that. Help please! Thanks in advance!

Best way to transport gaming pc

I'm in Michigan. Building a Mini ITX system just for the show, because driving across the continent is not an option. I'll probably buy a monitor once I get there.

Intel ships the last Itanium chips

Perhaps. That's basically what this topic was for me, I saw it in my Google now feed on my phone. In all honesty though, it's more than just that. Most of the posts I've made on this forum end up with a lot of mocking and/or dismissive comments along with the constructive ones; that alone makes me not want to do much with this site. That said, I suppose there's no getting away from trolls.

Intel ships the last Itanium chips

Fair enough. I've noticed that the same people constantly end up on the WAN Show as topic posters though. No one new in a long time. The fact that I don't have the time to spend every waking and sleeping moment finding and posting topics first is the reason I'll never be able to get there, and the reason I so rarely post here. The LTT forums aren't, apparently, worth my time.

    FX-8350 or Zen?

Okay then. The general consensus is to wait for Zen, and I can't say I'm disappointed. Thanks for the input guys!

    FX-8350 or Zen?

Supporting a longstanding underdog like AMD is about the long game though, and I've always taken that stance; I think in terms of decades, not quarters or fiscal years. I'm more worried about their sustainability as a company. The more people that jump ship, the less likely they'll be around at some time in the future, and Intel has no other competitors in this space; at this point it's about keeping the industry competitive as well, which means AMD needs all the support they can muster. I have faith that they can develop chips to rival Intel's offerings, but they won't if the market demand isn't there. What can I, as one person do about all of this? Not much, but that won't stop me. I respect people that have differing views, I just ask for that same consideration. As for building better price to performance Intel rigs? I get that, because I also build PCs professionally; I build what my customers want, and most just want performance now. The common user doesn't think about the computing industry like I do. I've... had to come to terms with that. As long as I can do what I need to with the rigs I build for myself, I'm okay not having that better performance (for the reasoning stated above).

    FX-8350 or Zen?

I support underdogs, and AMD's pricing on high end CPUs is usually more in my range.

    FX-8350 or Zen?

I'm not interested in building an Intel system for myself. I know I need an upgrade to my rig though, and I'm wondering what the community thinks about my choices: Do I buy an FX-8350 now and use my existing rig until it dies? Do I wait, save money for now, and build a High-end Zen based rig later? I'm thoroughly torn.

    AMD Polaris Giveaway

I'm currently running a GTX 980, and while I like it, I'm super stoked about all of the tech AMD has out and upcoming. I'd be happy with either card, but the Polaris 10 card strikes me as an amazing card to have. At the same time, I have a small business building PCs for people (mostly friends), and one of them could use that 980... Thanks for the contest opportunity!

    Slightly strange situation...

This is basically what I want to do, yes. I know. I'm trying to find a device that I can connect to my monitor (Displayport jack) that has both a Displayport jack AND an HDMI jack. Well, it's a Displayport jack, but you're basically right. Sorry for the confusing initial post, I'm not sure exactly what I was thinking at the time where the wording was concerned. There's a catch I apparently didn't make clear: I don't want to use HDMI from my computer to the monitor, only the PS4 should be connected HDMI. The PC should stay on Displayport. There might not be a solution for this, and if there's not, I'll cope. I was curious about the idea though, and I couldn't find anything specifically like what I'm looking for on my own. Thanks for all the help though, you guys are awesome.

    Slightly strange situation...

So this post concerns an issue between my monitor (Asus ROG Swift PG278Q) and my Playstation4. I'm looking for a device that I can use to not only pass through the Displayport signal from my video card, but also connect my console via HDMI to the monitor. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
