Split-56k's Achievements

  1. If you pay attention to the splash screens at the beginning of the game you can see that Sony's Japan Studio was involved so it's not very likely that it'll make it to PC. Same thing happened with Demon's Souls.

  3. definitely like the phone's clean design
  4. Someone here described it something like driving a balloon with wheels. They weren't too far off with that description. Basically all the cars felt super light and just slid all over the place making it pretty easy to just cheese it around turns. It's completely different handling compared to Grid 1 which is a little more realistic but still arcadey. I recommend looking up gameplay on the games if you really wanna get an idea on how the handling works.
  5. does it have the same compatibility across games as the 360 controller? If so I might consider it.
  6. this game has people getting shot to death left and right and people are concerned about what sex the hostage is?
  7. I think if the game was revealed with the 2014 graphics back in 2012 then people wouldn't have been so angry. The problem is that we were originally promised this gorgeous "next-gen" looking game and then when it was time to deliver, we were given a downgraded mess. You could almost call it false advertising.
  8. Funnily enough I think expecting AAA quality would actually count as lowering a lot of people's expectations.
  9. The game hasn't even come out yet and they already have DLC announced? Man, what a joke.
  10. You know I'd honestly be fine with that. Call it NFS Street and make it a spiritual successor to NFS Underground. That way they don't end up butchering the Underground name with a (most likely) mediocre game.
  11. I wasn't talking about progression. I was pointing out how NFS has started out with driving exotic cars as its focus. And of course they didn't start you off with the high end cars straight away. You just wouldn't start off at the very bottom end either, just lower end sports coupes or muscle cars. For example: in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 you would start off with cars in the same class as a Lotus Elise and then slowly work your way up the list until you end up with stuff like a Lamborghini Murcielago or a McLaren F1. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the hell out of both NFS Underground games as well as the original Most Wanted. And I miss the old progression systems just as much as you do. I just really don't have any hopes for this game. This is modern EA here, and I have a feeling that we would be getting a very different game than what we're asking for here; and that is a proper sequel to NFS Underground 2. I want a Underground 3 as well, but I'm pretty sure I don't want these guys behind it. Just look at what they're saying: If they can't guarantee at least 15 million sales they can't make the game. They're holding a game you like hostage with potential sales. They don't care about making a game that people will like, they just want your money.
  12. but Need for Speed has always had exotic cars in its roots. It really wasn't until the first NFS Underground where they really started giving attention to all the lower-end and Asian cars. Just about every NFS before Underground was about exotic supercars. I do agree with you on the customization part however. It seems like they've just been going backwards in that department.
  13. I'm pretty sure that Need for Speed: The Run also used frostbite. Also Frostbite has been around forever not to mention there doesn't seem to be any real notable changes between Frostbite 2 and 3. I also don't think the engine being "meant to be used on an FPS game" really has anything to do with a frame rate cap let alone binding the game speed to a set frame rate. That's another thing too. EA is so damn obsessed about sales. Are they seriously saying the game will be a failure if it doesn't at least sell 15 mil? Are they out of their minds? EA can go screw themselves. They can go bankrupt for all I care.
  14. Ghost? You mean the same guys who screwed up the PC port of NFS Rivals with a 30fps cap? Are you sure you guys want this?
