I have a TPLINK 3800 pci wireless adapter that only goes up to 54 mbps my pc is one floor below my at&t router would a powerline or a pci ac adapter make it fatser?

The Akasa fans look pretty solid and I've heard the slipstreams doesnt last long from the reviews on newegg
