There really isn't that much wrong with this remark. The only devices which use that cable are iPads and iPhones basically, and by specifying 6 they're saying they don't want one of the older wide plugs from iPhones before the 4. It isn't technically accurate but unless you're currently sitting a tech exam you don't need to be exact and correct all the time, that isn't the point or reality of speech.

I spent about 15 minutes trying to explain the "favourites" system in windows file explorer to my mum the other day. She couldn't wrap her head around the fact that [File X] could be both in the favourites section -and- in My Documents/[Subfolder Y] so in the end I just removed the stuff she had accidentally put in it and "fixed it".

Also, unrelated note, but I take issue with people saying that referring to a USB storage device as any of "USB" "Pen Drive" "Thumb Drive" "USB Stick" is "non techie" or otherwise ignorant. Those are very widely accepted terms. Same goes for referring to a mobile data allowance as "an amount of 4G/3G/"internet"" that's a common expression, just because you use it doesn't mean you don't know anything about tech.

Clicked on that video and within 3 seconds of that guy's intro I said NOPE and left the scene faster than the time it took for No Man's Sky to get bombarded with bad reviews

Yeah those are torx security screws. Hexagonal with a spike in the middle so that regular torx bits don't work.

Monitor, get a rotatable monitor arm. Also my touch typing would get completely shafted by a change in keyboard layout.

It says in the post I used DDU, display driver uninstaller which completely removes the drivers and all related files and folders. I'll try with no drivers.

Okay, I can't do it today because I'm not at home anymore, but I'll try these recommendations tomorrow.
Come to think of it there was one time when I removed the MOBO to so something and accidentially lifted it by the VRM heatsink which might (I honestly don't know the chronological order of these events) be a cause. I might try reseating that heat sink.

i did this upgrade a little while back, so worth it higher fps (most games were 10+ fps higher) but it was the average fps where it really shone the 8350 used to dip all the time

Each new Intel release only moves the bar forward ahead a couple of % at a time, so even if you did wait for the next revision it probably wouldn't make enough of a difference to "keep it viable" much longer. You can expect a couple of years out of an i5-6600K in my opinion, especially if you're going to overclock—which you should, if you're paying extra for the 6600K.

Conventional wisdom is usually that the i5 is faster than the FX-8350 in everything but multithreaded productivity work. But honestly, looking at benchmarks, I think Skylake quad-cores may have finally brute-forced their way into parity in at least some applications. I'm not having much luck finding anything the FX-8350 does better than an i5-6600K. Except price, obviously.

I don't think there's a limit to what frame rate we can look at. Actual physical objects move an infinite number of times per second (across an infinitesimal distance obviously) meaning the (effectively) infinite stream of photons entering our eyes from them is changing constantly, so why would a faster monitor affect us? Unless you were talking about the limit in monitor hardware, in which case I have no idea haha.
