  1. Honestly? For the last 4 gens, until the next xx80ti comes out. 980ti>1080ti>2080ti>3080ti. Just got the 3080ti this week.
  2. This chip is impressive. #1 9900k/3080ti score. CPU: 9900k @ 5.2GHz GPU: 3080ti FTW3 w/ EK Block/blackplate Core: 2145 (+193) Mem: 1357 (+1350) Time Spy: Score: 20,063 Graphics: 22,355 CPU: 12,691 https://www.3dmark.com/spy/22926267
  3. CPU: 9900k @ 5.1GHz GPU: 3080ti FTW3 w/ EK Block/blackplate Core: 2145 (+190) Mem: 1357 (+1350) Time Spy: Score: 19,983 Graphics: 22,197 CPU: 12,768 https://www.3dmark.com/spy/22856384
  4. PC for desktop and Mac for laptop is the way. Both are best tools for the job.
  5. All brands have issues. Buy the one with the best support/warranty. EVGA,
  6. 3080 TI FTW3 will be here Monday. EKWB Block and backplate will be here Wednesday. Out with the old, in with the new...
  7. CPU-Z should not be anyone's definition of stable. Aida64 OCCT RealBench Prime95 I ran Prime95 for 24hrs before I was really convinced my 9900k was stable at 5.1. It has never crashed in normal use...not once.
  8. The GamerNexus twitter is nothing but Steve bitching and whining about companies....it's getting really old. Anyone else notice this?
  9. Let's skip to the good part. When can I order my 3080ti and who wants to buy my 2080ti FTW3 Hydro Copper???
  10. You could bounce that thing off the thermal limit for years at the stock clocks. Chips are not as fragile as many want to believe.
  11. It shouldn't be too bad. The 9900ks he is talking about runs 5ghz all core from the factory and should cool fine under a good AIO or big air. Even at factory setting it should beat the 3700x in pretty much anything.
  12. When both are overclocked to their reasonable max, the 9900k will beat the 3700x pretty handly for almost all tasks. This really only matters if you are planning on overclocking.
  13. Get another CPU or another board and find out. BTW, I have the same board and it is awesome. It'll take anything you throw at it as far as OC is concerned.
  14. An EVGA z390 Dark has been running my 9900k at 5.1GHz 24/7 perfectly for the last 9 months.
  15. Congrats on the board. It is awesome. I am probably going to be putting mine back into use when the 10-series chips are available.
  16. Signed a contract for my first house today.
