  1. My uncle passed away recently and when left me his PC. It's a very nice PC, recently updated a few things. But other things are a mess and really gross. Pretty much everything on the Motherboard itself is fine. ASUS Maximus X Code i7 8700 CPU (with absolutely ZERO thermal paste for what I assume is literal years) PowerColor 6700XT 32gb 3200 G-Skill RAM. Corsair 850 Watts TX850M 80 PLUS Gold What I'm having an issue with are the fans. It currently has 2 EVGA RL4Z T1402512M-3M in the back and 3 in the front. He saw an LTT video about the EVGA DG-87 back in the day and got a variant of it it's an absolute CHORE to deal with. The back 2 ones have a 3 pin connector going into the case which are easily replaceable I've already ordered Noctua fans to replace them. The same with the 3 front fans. The issue is the top fans, those don't work at all and neither does the AIO cooler which is a Corsair H60. The fans uphere go into a Thermaltake thing and it doesn't seem to work. It's currently going into CHA_FAN 3 which is the closest one do it, since 1 and 2 are either next to my CPU or at the bottom of the Motherboard. They're thermaltake fans as well, but I don't know the model number since it just has the Thermaltake logo on it
  2. Thanks for the help! I was looking at this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ALK3KEM/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=08WHK9QMDW604KF0S1YW&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=2079475242&pf_rd_i=desktop and hoping it works, one thing I'm nervous about is static shocking my components and killing it.
  3. When I bought my PC from CyberPower and chose my parts I wasn't aware of the huge difference between Modular and Non-Modular PSUs. I want to switch to a Corsair Modular PSU to match my Corsair Carbide 200R Tower. I'm not very technically inclined when it comes to PCs, so I'm hoping the PSU comes with the necessary cables as well since I don't really know what each cable is called.
  4. My PC is a custom build from Cyberpower. I'm quite happy with it, however one of the issues I have with it is the cable management is okay at best, but I'd like it to be better. I plan on going with a new modular PSU instead of the regular Apevia PSU that they gave me. Is there a guide somewhere that tells me what each cord is for, sort of a cable management for super idiots?
  5. Where on my case would you recommend? I have the Corsair 300R
  6. I also put this in the wrong section. I apologize.
  7. My PC will be here today and I need to install a SSD. I don't have one of those ESD Straps and everywhere I go I see just touch an unpainted metal part of my case. Does that include the metal cover on the back of the PC? Where else can I touch?
  8. Hello, I just ordered a PC and I didn't think I'd need a SSD, however as I await my PC I discovered Linus' videos and figured I should get one. I purchaced the Crucial MX100 128GB drive. It did not come with any cables so I have to buy my own I guess. The issue with this is I don't know what cables are necessary. I have a Gigabyte GA-970 DS3p located here http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4591#ov. My PSU is a Apevia 800W PSU. Any help would be appreciated and if I failed to provide the necessary specs, please let me know.
