You have the ability to disable Adblock on certain websites that you want to support. Ads can be an issue on some crappier websites that you are forced to visit for some reason.
I'd get whichever you want, aren't they both free anyways?

    Hey guys,

So this is the first time I've really built a computer from the ground up so wanted to share with you guys. It's a super budget build (perks of being a uni student), so it's nothing special.

All parts were purchased from Umart

APU: AMD A8-6600K Quad Core APU BLACK EDITION
    RAM: Crucial DDR3 PC12800-8GB Kit (2x4GB)
    PSU: 500W (comes with case)
    HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB
    Motherboard: Gigabyte F2A85XM-D3H
Case: Casecom  CJ341-B Blue Gaming Case

    Monitor: 22" Dell 2209WA
Keyboard: Ducky Shine 3 (Blue LED/Cherry MX Blue)
    Mouse: Razer DeathAdder 2013

Total cost was $387AUD (excluding peripherals). I know everything is really low end but as time progresses I'm hoping to upgrade parts gradually. Hoping within the next week to upgrade to an SSD for the OS/apps. Then definitely looking for a new case and PSU. Any suggestions for some cheap upgrades?

I know it's not even remotely exciting compared to pretty much every other build on here, but just wanted to share anyway.

Also, a huge thank you to @dropbear for helping me out with this, both choosing parts and building. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to computers

    UPDATE:

    SSD: Intel 120GB 530 Series
    PSU: SilverStone ST50F-ES 500W
    Cooling: Noctua NH-U9B SE2

    Upgrade Cost: $239AUD

Next upgrades: AMD Radeon R9 270 GPU and Fractal Design Define R4 Case.

    Hi. I am looking to build a couple of systems;

    1) The first one is intended purely as a workstation for modelling, texturing, rigging, animation, architecture, static and dynamic structural 2d and 3d cad modelling, audio and video editing.

    - First, the budget for this pc is roughly about $35,000

    - Second, I am looking to use 6 screens on this workstation. However, i would request you guys to keep in mind of the 4k technology available in the market today. If there are better alternatives please make a note of them along with the orientation of the screens that would be placed.

    - Third, I would want to know which one is better when setup with/without a 4k res monitor - cintiq or intuos

    - Lastly, the monitor/s, keyboard, mouse and the cintiq/intuos is inclusive in the budget of $35,000.

    2) The second one is intended purely as a gaming rig.

    - First, the budget for this pc is roughly about $20,000.

    - Second, I am looking to use 5 screens (three in landscape orientation and two in portrait orientation; one on each side of the landscape mode). I would request you to kindly enlighten me with 4k monitors and if i can use them to the gaming system, will I be getting a decent and stable 60fps atleast or should i wait it out on the 4k section for the gaming rig, if 4k is not applicable what would be the best alternative and their orientation.

    - Third, Is it possible to add and set a decent racing wheel rig to the system within the budget, if yes, what would be its hardware configuration?

    - Lastly, the monitors, keyboard, mouse and racing wheel rig is all inclusive in the budget of $20,000.

I would be buying both these systems in a time span of 2-3 weeks. Thanks and cheers.

Definitely just keep your 2500K and grab a GTX 780Ti like Recon-UK suggested. Where do you live in TN? I live in TN also.

eslagrassa reacted to Samdb in FAQ And Guide - CPU Choice
    What CPU should you choose?

When choosing a CPU you should take into consideration what you will be using it for and your budget. These are the two main factors in choosing a CPU and getting these things wrong may cause a loss in performance when building your PC, the following scenarios should shed a light on the situation.

    Intel or AMD?
This choice should be depend on your budget, not which company your prefer the most, otherwise you will not receive the best performance for the budget you are willing to spend. For lower budget systems, go with AMD, no questions asked. Their processors and APUs provide the best price to performance and will exceed processors from Intel at the same price point. However if you have a large budget Intel is the way to go, if you can afford to buy an Intel processor you will see a performance increase over the same tier AMD CPU. This is excellent for higher end PCs which need the extra performance.
