  1. He is going to get a 144hz 1080p monitor.
  2. My brother is going to get a PC Friday, should he wait for the 1070 to be back in stock, wait for the RX 480, or get a 970 or something?
  3. Thats what im wondering, apparently that doesn't work like gsync anyways, so maybe this is a stupid post lol
  4. I'm saying this because I have heard that matching the frame rate to your monitor is like gsync for free. But the game I'm playing has a maximum of 59.94, which when i lock the fps to 60 it causes worse tearing.
  5. You can get a 144hz display around $250 easy, but its tn. People say the smoothness is a game changer, so much so they won't go back to 60. But ips quality is so good to. Where is the ips 144hz 1ms 4k monitor with gtx 3080 lol.
  6. I was set on getting a tn 144hz for my fps games, but I borrowed my brothers ips monitor and the quality blew my mind lol. I was like whoa, this is better quality then even my former 1440p monitor lol.
  7. Ok, thanks. Weird that other guy says that.
  8. This review on microcenter says the b version does. http://reviews.microcenter.com/3520-en_us/0445393/lg-lg-24gm77-24-full-hd-gaming-monitor-reviews/reviews.htm "The monitor looks great. It looks very MLG. All the features are rock solid including 144hz. One thing I didn't know about the new stock of this particular monitor is whereas the reviews saw DAS and Motion 240 don't work together. Well they are wrong Motion 240 does work with DAS on 24GM77-B models with a sticker on the front of the panel reading REV02 at the very bottom of the sticker. 24GM77-B is read on a sticker on the back of the panel. There is no better monitor for the money."
  9. I saw that also, I updated my comment. Even 1080p is doable.
  10. With your 1920 X 1080 or 1680 X 1050 monitor you can easily run that game with a R9 390 equivalent GPU, the RX 480.
  11. Notice how I said b, the 144hz 1ms LG 24GM77-b. I have heard that this version has the ability to use both Motion 240 and DAS at the same time, can anyone confirm this? Note that DAS reduces the lag from 5ms to 1ms. And motion 240 reduces motion blur with minimal loss of color quality.
  12. Asus vg248qe or BenQ xl2411z are among the best
  13. But you are still wrong for not wanting to tell him to get a 1080 lol. Off topic? ok. so
  14. You didn't even answer his post, he wants to know the limit of the oc of his card and cpu. While saying "get a 1080" isn't directly the matter, its definitely not i like turtles lol.
  15. You'd be stupid to not tell him whats better for less. It would be like someone asking for directions to a specific store 100 miles away, but their is a better store only 40 miles away. Should you tell him the directions to the farther and worse store? The answer is obvious.
  16. And how is recommending a much better value in the context of his build irrelevant?
  17. Or if the the 1080's price is bloated where you are, the 980 ti is within like 2% of the titan x.
