I sold my R9 390 XFX on ebay. When the buyer received it he reported that the fans did not work till 80-85 degrees and that the GPU went over 90 degrees. I wish I tested that so I could invalidate his claims if he is lying. I today got the card back and the connector to the GPU fan is unplugged (seemingly impossible to do unless you remove the fan completely) and the stickers on the back were removed to unscrew. He even said he would try to fix it. So since he messed with it and I can't confirm if his original claims were true can I get my money back?
In games I don't really see a decreased motion blur until i match the fps to the monitors refresh rate via vsync but that creates noticable lag. So it seems like you trade motion blur for some lag.
I sold my r9 390 and got a 1080 for $450 (really $320 when I add the money from the 390). I still have an i5 4690k overclocked to 4 ghz (very modest overclock). Will a ryzen or i7 be worth it down the road?
