Hi, Looking to set a new router in my flat but do not have the username/password required to do this with plusnet. Its university run accommodation so I do not have access to any of the routers and they refuse to give me the details to upgrade the routers myself. I have used wireshark in the past to set up my own router with sky broadband at home. Will the same technique work in this case as well? Thanks

Unfortunately with the way the accommodation is set up, there is no place for me to use a wired connection. No ethernet to the rooms and all the routers locked away somewhere i dont know. I have used the wirelss on my desktop in the past to play games and have had no issues at all.

Hi all, Thank you in advance for any help. Recently moved into my flat for the university year and I'm having loads of network issues. Firstly I have the issue of a lot of the time not being able to reach websites with error messages of site cannot be reached - took too long to respond - ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT. Normally webpage reloads by itself after a few seconds and its fine. Further from this if i do manage to get through to a webpage I often get that weird issue with it not loading fully with images missing etc. I have tried with both my laptop and main pc - both windows 10 machines and the issue persists with both. I have noticed that this does not occur on my friends Macbook pro. Lastly I have been experiencing massive rubber banding/lag within games (tried rocket league and overwatch). Using overwatch's in game networking graphs i can see that it coincides with packet loss often hitting roughly 5%. I tried to troubleshot using MTR, testing google servers. It came up with 0% packet loss across all hops with latency ranging from 20 - 50ms Any help would be appreciated! if you need any more information let me know and I will provide it as soon as.

Hi all, thanks for the help. as of today i just been having many issues with my corsair k65 keyboard and ive had none in the past. Firstly none of the key presses were working, there was power coming to the keyboard (the windows key locked work as i assume that is handled within the keyboard). I tried updating windows, bios and reinstalling drivers it seemed to work again. However strange things such as my up arrow wasnt working and the enter key, typed ABCDF#, muted the system and turned caps lock on. Im really not sure what to do to. Ive contacted corsair for any help as well. System specs if need be: Mobo: Gigabyte z97n-wifi Processor: intel 4790k Ram: Corsair Vengeance 16gb 2400mhz GPU: evga 980 sc Storage: samsung 850 evo and WD Black OS: Windows 10 64bit

Hi all, I am looking for a way to record my voice from a microphone and game audio at the same time. The reason I am doing this is because I am having difficulty with audio over my hdmi for my elgato. If you have any idea how to fix that could you please post a reply to a post I made earlier: (Apparently can't link to my other post) Also solution such as fraps is not an option as my laptop is not very powerful, which was one reason why I got the Elgato game capture HD. Additionally I would prefer if the solutions did not involve buying additional hardware and free software is also a benefit. Thanks for your help in advance. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, I wasn't too sure.

Tried it all still nothing. Also tried just pluggin in my laptop directly to the tv, the tv came up in playback devices. However through the elgato it doesnt come under playback devices but the video passes through just fine.

Hi all, I have tried using the how do i send audio to elgato game capture hd from my windows pc via hdmi" article by elgato to help resolve my issue to send the audio over the hdmi. However while in stereo mix properties, under the listen tab, the elgato or the HDMI output is not listed under the drop down menu. Neither is the hdmi listed under the playback devices. Any help to resolve this issue would be appreciated. My full specs for my laptop if needed: Intel core i7-3630qm nvidia 650m 8gb ddr3 RAM Windows 8.1 64 bit Any help would be greatly appreciated or any other solution for recording the game audio and my microphone audio at the same time. Hi, I'm looking for a laptop cooler just so it doesn't get extremely hot while gaming. I have a 17 inch screen laptop so it will need to be large enough to account for this. I don't need any extra features such as a USB hub, just a simple usb powered laptop cooler. It doesn't also need to be terribly quiet as the laptop is loud enough. Lastly I would like it to be quite portable so I can carry it around and keep the portability of having a gaming laptop. Thanks for the help in advance. Also I wasn't too sure where to post this.
