  1. so whats the difference between those boards? why would anyone go for the MAG if the A-PRO exists?
  2. What cooler would you recmmend? also im planning to stick another nvme down the road, thats why i went with this mobo. im seeing that the b550 a pro is a rebranded 450, and those have pcie gen 2 the difference in price between a pro and mag tomahawk is 40 bucks. which is not that little here, so if im not losing much, i'd take it
  3. 1. Budget & Location 1-1.5 k USD, Russia 2. Aim work and some gaming. i dont play a lot of AAA games, and graphics are not my priority. good fps at medium settings is preffered. 3. Monitors i use a wide 1080p 75 hz right now, maybe will get a 2nd, 1440p, dunno if it will be wide or not. 4. Peripherals as stated before, i already have a pc so for starters i'm looking just to upgrade the pc. from peripherals i'd only get a new keyboard in the near future, so if you know any good ~100 usd mechanical keyboards, that'd be great. currently looking at HyperX origins core aqua switches. need to check out some ducky's and leopold's to see if they're worth the extra. 5. Why are you upgrading? have been using my current one (which this forum helped build) for like 6 years, so thanks for that :D. but its been a pain working on it lately cuz it barely lets me even see the preview in AE at half res. not enough ram and its like 1600 anyway, that was the main reason of thinking to upgrade. Here's what i put together, again, the prices are not what im gonna buy them for. also the GPU is what im gonna buy when the prices come down, if they do. for now will be using my old one (msi gtx 960 4g) because Russian retailers sell them for their overpriced prices (idk how thats allowed) but w.e PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/X9pWgt CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor ($272.99 @ Amazon) CPU Cooler: be quiet! 4. I was thinking to cut costs, this is adding another 300 usd xd. Im on a 1080p and priority is lower cost and not spend as much as i can. Lets not forget that russian wages here xd
  5. Thing is ill never find any of these parts with those prices. As i said, im buying most of my stuff on Computer universe which have EU prices and paying 15% import tax. The current build i posted is 1300 usd. A 3070 alone is 1000 usd here
  6. Budget (including currency): 1500 USD Country: Russia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Motion Design and video editing in AE at 1080p and gaming at 1080p, mostly LoL and CoD Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): so i'm planning to build a pc, mainly for working in AE (motion design and editing mostly in 1080p). im currently with a 4790k and 960 4gb thats been with me for 5 years and is kinda not doing it anymore. its just too slow for work and i cant upgrade to ddr4 and im stuck with 1888 ddr3 ram. i mainly play league and cod, but i dont really care for ultra settings and my monitor is just 1080p@75 so there is no point in going higher res. im planning to spend no more than 1500 usd and heres what i came up with CPU: Ryzen 7 3800x MOBO: GIGABYTE X570 ELITE RAM: 2x16 G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 (will add another 32 some time in the future) Storage: NVMe m.2 crucial p5 ssd 1tb Crucial MX500 1 tb ssd VGU: Either 2060 super or 2070 whichever is cheaper PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 11 CM 600W Case: Lian Li LanCool II Russian prices are a little higher and im mainly buying from ComputerUniverse and paying import tax which is still cheaper than buying here, plus they have more parts available. my main worry is overkilling because honestly, cheaper is better for me but i wouldn't want it to be at the expense of performance. if it serves me 5 years and does my work properly and gives me 60+ fps in medium settings at 1080 im good.
  7. Basically what the pc will be used for is 2d animations in after effects. his main complain for his macbook pro is long rendering and slow preview, so that's his motive to get a pc. he doesnt want to spend a lot (~$1050) with everything included. so far i've gathered these: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU AMD - Ryzen 7 1700 3 GHz 8-Core Processor $159.89 @ OutletPC Motherboard MSI - B450-A PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard $96.20 @ B&H Memory G.Skill - Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory $79.99 @ Newegg Storage Crucial - MX500 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive $134.99 @ Amazon Video Card Gigabyte - Radeon RX 580 8 GB Gaming 8G Video Card $189.99 @ Newegg Case NZXT - H500 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case $69.99 @ Amazon Power Supply SeaSonic - M12II EVO 850 W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular Fanless ATX Power Supply Monitor LG - 29UM59-P 29.0" 2560x1080 75 Hz Monitor Keyboard Corsair - K55 RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard $46.99 @ Amazon Mouse Logitech - G402 Wired Optical Mouse $29.93 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $827.97 Mail-in rebates -$20.00 Total $807.97 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-03-08 05:23 EST-0500 except the power supply is a 620 version of that one, couldn't find it on there. will be ordering to russia from this website https://www.computeruniverse.ru . the sum is 1067 euros = ~1200 usd. if there is a good upgrade for not so much more, feel free to include
  8. 1070ti cheapest manufacturer or are there preferred ones?
  9. Just a little bit smaller than s340 would be okay, if nothing beats it then I guess I'll just go for the same one. Inwin 3 is nice, but cable management is shit.
  10. Any other mobo and case recommendations?
  11. Do I just go for the cheapest 1070? Because the cheapest 1070 I see here is the EVGA super locked, could add 40$ for EVGA ftw2. Others are even more expensive
  12. Sorry, just didn't get the answer I was looking for
  13. Im not looking to upgrade it, im asking if it's worth selling and buying a new one, because I'm getting a good deal
