    I just ordered the define r5 to prepare to house new hardware, and I was curious what's a good aio liquid cooler that fits in there (on top, not front). I've been looking at the kraken x61, and all the corsair aios confuse me. Any recommedations?

    So I finally found out how to use OBS and it's all good. I save it as an mp4 file and in VLC it's a full 1080 nice video. However when I put it on the Sony Vegas Timeline the video looks worse than an NES game. What is wrong with the file once it goes into sony vegas? Thanks

    So my system recently has been pissing me off. My CPU the AMD fx-8320 or my CPU cooler the Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo, randomly decides to go to 0rpm and the only way it goes back to normal is a system restart. This doesn't make any sense, if it can work why the fuck would it at random go down to 0rpm for no fucking reason. Luckily I keep speccy open at all times to see when this happens but this is ridiculous, especially if I'm in a counter strike match (which freezes randomly aswell but that's another issue). Anyways if any of you can help me I would appreciate it greatly. BTW my motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 ATX AM3+.

    i can't even record a google chrome tab without my computer being frozen. Any settings that can affect that?

    Hey guys, so for the past few days I've been struggling with OBS settings and my pc. You see, I want to record counter strike so I can share clips however no matter where I look online for OBS settings, my PC lags out like crazy but my game doesn't at all. So I decided i'd just turn it on when i was in the game and use it. After recording a days worth of footage all of it looks absolutely awful with pixelation (ugh). I just need someone to tell me what settings can work for my pc. It's an amd fx-8320 OCed to 4.1ghz with a gtx 760 and 16gbs of ram. This has been driving me crazy.

    My PrecisionX only goes to 115% so I'l put it at that. I'll also take Minsekt's advice for voltage so that i can achieve higher overclocks. Good thing my PSU is Gold and double my system's wattage.

    Alright sounds awesome. One thing though. PrecisionX only goes from +0mV to +12mV. So I'll go to max and it'll be good but how would I be able to lower it?

    Hey guys, I'm new to overclocking and this night I've been tinkering with my GPU. The GPU is the 4GB GTX 760 with an EVGA ACX cooler. I'm using their PrecisionX 16 tool to overclock my card due to the UI which I find easier to understand. I've started at a 50MHz overclock which people seem to recommend online and everything was great. I used the MSI Kombuster stress tester and it worked fine for 20 minutes and I was satisfied. Then I went on to Heaven 4.0 great blah blah blah yay 50MHz. Then I went to 60MHz everything is great 10/10 ign gr8 b8 m8 i rate 8/8 right? But then the 70MHz came and things started happening. I let MSI Kombuster for 25 minutes and was at 80-81c. Worked great even at high temperature no crashes. Then came the Heaven benchmark and it only was at around 64c or 67c (can't remember ) and it just crashed. I (quickly with panic) restart my system. Starts of weird whatever doesn't matter (at least I think) everything goes back to normal decide to try 60MHz again everything works. Then I tried 70MHz another time it was fine with the Kombuster and Heaven. So I decided sweet! Stability, awesome! Time to play some GTA V see what FPS's I can get in what places (if you want a cool FPS boost go to the tunnel thats in the woods that usually has no cars driving in it) works great played for an hour yay! So I decide it's time to benchmark the game aaaand halfway through the benchmark it crashes my whole system like any other overclock crash I had. But the GPU temp was at 65c (also my GPU became a lot cooler after letting precisionX 16 handle my fan curve, it's insane) so two questions. 1) Most importantly, did me overclocking to 70MHz with no extra voltage and no overheating damage my GPU or anything else. (crashes are scary) 2) Why the hell is my GPU crashing at 70MHz with no overheating at all. Is it possible my voltage is too low or is it possible my power target is too low. I'm running a 110% power target on PrecisionX. 3) Let's say hypothetically I just can't get 70MHz for anything, it's whatever, done. How can I really make sure that my 60MHz overclock is stable (I want to hand down this GPU to a family member later once I upgrade to the new line of Nvidia GPUs coming this year (can't wait). Thanks if you've read all of this Newbieness. Also wanna add that I did not add any extra voltage to my GPU. Well at least that's what the voltage bar says in PrecisionX

    Hey Guys, I've been spending the last two nights on google trying to find out whether CS:GO limits the FPS that's actually displayed on your monitor when you go into windowed borderless. I still struggle to see the difference between 144hz and 60 hz that well. I have it on fullscreen at the moment, but it's annoying because I have multiple monitors and it takes 15 seconds to alt-tab back into the game. Here's what I've already tried to see how much is actually being shown on my monitor. 1. just looking at the FPS (that doesn't work because it shows how much FPS is being rendered not how much is being shown on your monitor. 2. Enabled all types of V sync (that didn't change the FPS and still went way beyond 144hz). The monitor is 144hz for sure, I checked in the Nvidia control panel and testufo.com. Thanks!

    I'm going to link pictures of my emails with Kingston about this but I'm going to just go over some things before you read it. So I was looking through my twitter feed and I saw Newegg advertising the Kingston v300 and I was annoyed. I personally have that SSD and on CrystalDisk I get lower than half the advertised speed on that SSD. Then, even with me using vulgar language Kingston responded to me on twitter saying that they'll redirect me to an SSD specialist. So I did and he said something about compressing or something (I'm not really good with data terms) and that's why I'm asking you guys to tell me what did that specialist is actually saying. Is he speaking of the truth and that their speeds can't be truly read by CrystalDisk or is he just spewing random bullshit so I wont complain about their SSD ever again?
