  1. Has anyone actually dealt with Acer's customer support?
  2. They will fit any screw m3/m4 I use them for any case mounting hardware I do (not the mother board). The screws are likely to be m2/m3, won't matter too much if they're a bit bigger
  3. Have a similar issue with my build, best solution is to get slightly longer screws and put rubber rings/washers around the screws where the mount to the case. The threads are likely m3 threads. I'll link a performance pc link soon http://www.performance-pcs.com/bitspower-anti-vibration-ridged-m3-m4-screw-washers-set-of-20-black.html
  4. Quite recently I got my second titan x (I bought the first before the 980ti came out and didn't feel like reselling) and water cooled my whole system. However I've been sitting at 2x1080p for a long time waiting for a decent monitor to come along. I was looking for something 1440p120+hz/4k60+hz both with Gsync and IPS. Asus recently revised 2 versions of the ROG Swift to do all of those things but limited quantity, quality control and horrible customer service has prevented me from buying any monitor. The alternative is an Acer monitor with the same panels, and although I'm not a fan of the stand they come with, but they are available in my area. I haven't any heard anything regarding their customer service but quality control seems to be the same. TL;DR: Which has better customer support ACER or ASUS? Bonus Rig pics:http://imgur.com/a/IAuYw
  5. RAM is picky. Has to be the EXACT SAME MODEL, keep in mind minor revisions will cause it to not work. In dual channel right now with RAM purchased at different times, had some issues at first but it is working.
  6. For gaming, go with the 6600k. Over clock the crap outta it. Single performance work loads are typically better for gaming.
  7. I got a very similar build to yours. if you ever plan on going sli, you should go custom water cooling (maybe not now but in the future). Not that hard. You'll get tangible benefits from doing so. You can mod your case like I did (cut out the odd cage for more radiators). Idk just a thought. Here it is if you want to look http://imgur.com/a/IAuYw I need to update the album. Might want to consider putting in a m.2 ssd instead of the drive. Allows your OS drive to run faster. I'd recommend a 950 pro if you can afford. Unless your a heavy content creator or using your ram for ram disks, skip the 64gb kit while DDR4 is still expensive. Get a kit of 2x16gb instead, 32 gb is still overkill but you aren't shooting yourself in the foot later. Go sli or get a smaller power supply. EDIT: Saw your updates. Skip the hybrid cooling, get an air cooler. Save yourself the 200$ or so dollars if you ever go to full on custom loop. Corsair is good look into the HUE. You shouldn't plan that far ahead for your computer. Prices drop, new stuff comes out. Get the best thing you can afford in a reasonable amount of time. Consider getting some radiator fans instead of the SPs. I used EKs but there are some others. Quieter and more efficient.
  8. Budget is not slim, its 2500$ USD Thank you for your input, I really appreciate it. I actually plan on rarely using all 3 monitors at the same time for gaming I just want something pretty , and even if I do I think I'll be ok with 2 Titan Xs
  9. Looking into some monitors, would like to discuss a couple things (If you don't want to discuss I'd appreciate you voting in the poll or leaving a different suggestion) First off I'd like to say that I'm looking for a triple monitor setup with some premium/premium looking monitors. I've insured that my rig can handle it (running 4790k and 2x Titan Xs). Was looking into getting 3x ROG swifts mainly because of the way they look, the high refresh rate, g-sync, etc. However I am aware that there is a new revision of this monitor coming out that changes the panel type to IPS and I am also aware that Acer now does the predator monitor with all of those features but looks kinda cheap. At my local brick and mortar shop they sell them about a 100$ off. So I'm considering pulling the trigger. I know that I'd like to get a new monitor(s) by December Do you still recommend three ROG Swift PG278Q? If you don't what would you recommend? Edit: If you care, my budget is 2500 USD
  10. Meh probably won't perform the way you want it Here's how I like to look at budgeting a PC of any price range 40% of your budget should go to GPU (200$) 20% of your budget should go to the CPU (100$) 40% to everything else, this remainder is typically dictated to your previous choices good luck
  11. There is always a better graphics card on the horizon. You need to draw a line somewhere. There is always buyer's remorse for not waiting. This is the curse of technology. Just pick a budget and a time frame. Example: "I need a new graphics card by_________, because my games no longer run the way I want them to. I will only spend _____ at this time."
  12. Cool, we're headed to a society of embedded systems anyway, maybe now we can recycle them well.
