  1. Hi all, Please take >literally< 30 seconds of your time to fill out this survey, its about customer satisfaction for a fake company. It doesn't really matter what the results are, but I just need to gather a load of them and analyse them. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/3DMF3DS I'm doing an apprenticeship in ICT Professional Competence and this will go toward a large section or the course. Thanks in advance
  2. In the sense that they build in acrylic and I will also be building in acrylic, yes. other than that no. As i said, its going to be fully modular, and will be of my own design style. The idea with it is that every component is in a separate module, the MOBO, Graphics card, RAM all being in one module as the main componant, then the PSU, SDD mounts, HDD mounts, ODD mounts and every other components being in separate modules. Look up Project Christine by Razor for a quick idea.
  3. I was going to do black and white acrylic, fully modular. Its hard to explain quickly in a comment but at some point I'll be posting a build log for it which will essencially act as an online portfolio/live feedback source through out the build
  4. well it would still be a case by technicality?
  5. I realised just after I published the poll that black and green was going to be a good combination :') with Nvidea and razor both having their colours schemes like that, but oh well :') hahah :') missed that one too, sorry, like your style though
  6. This is for a DT project in which I'll be making a custom computer case. I need this information to gauge popularity of case colours in a "power user" environment. I am aware this isn't an extensive list of colours, it would take me forever to list every possibility, but if your current case isnt there, please vote for a previously owned case, or your favourite colour combination. Thank you for your time http://strawpoll.me/5774460 ~FAIL_bro777 EDIT: I need a relatively large sample size of voters, so if this could be pinned for 24hrs or something at the top of the thread it would be a massive help.
  7. I can list so many reason why NOT to do that, heres a few: Phishing Viruses Fake versions Malware Spyware Ransomware Rootkits The developers of legit software get no money These websites that supply the codes could have anything hidden in their HTML code, use legitimate methods of acquiring software or risk destroying your entire system.
  8. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tDztD3 AMD CPUs are cheaper than intel cpus and really dont change a lot. Plus AMD need a bit of help getting back on their feet so no harm done Not only that but you get a 6 core CPU at 3.5 ghz for just under half trhe price of a 4 core at 3.1 GHz, good for CPU heavy tasks and games. The motherboard goes with the colour scheme (red and black) and fits the CPU socket. Plus it's MSI so you get the "military grade" components, useful for slight OCing. Corsair Vengence pro 8gb to go with the colour scheme and give a bit of buffer room for tasks. Ive never used more that 5gb at a time in RAM and i have 8GB available. MSI GTX 960 to get a decent video card, triple monitor display no problem, and almost any game can be played (save a few ridiculou s ones) semi modular PSU in case you want to fiddle with cables, saves money while keeping the molecularity bonus. The storage can be replaced with someone more to your liking if you want but its cheap and will get the job done for a first time build. and Windows 8.1 becaus eits a good OS, better than windows 10, but if you really wanted to you get the free windows 10 upgrade (i think?) with any version of windows above 7, so why waste $100 on a new version of 10? Over all you have $85 spare which you could spend on software of changing a few bits and bobs (like the storage). Hope you like it ~FAIL
  9. Ill throw something together, give me a few minutes
  10. So PC part picker says that the motherbaord (Gigabyte GA 970A ) may require a bios update to be able to run the FX 6300, how easy is this to do, and can it be done with the FX 6300 in the socket (say i don't have a spare CPU)? My guess is I install the bios update onto a USB stick and when I turn the pc on it will update automatically? Thanks for the help ~FAIL
  11. Full ATX can actually accommodate anything up to a full EATX (larger, some having 8 RAM slots rather than 4, and some boards have dual CPU support, heres one that supports 4 CPUS: http://www.theinquirer.net/img/6509/tyan_4980_quad_opteron.jpg?1241332079) Mid ATX can only go up to standard ATX. Im not sure about cube ATX, but in a quick look the majority seem to only accommodate mATX, though i wouldnt be too shocked if there are ones out there that can support anything up to EATX
  12. Eh its no problem either way tbh, I have more than an adequate conclusion from the results (clearly mid towers are the most popular) so one vote doesnt really matter too much
  13. Vote for your daily driver. The one you'd use for power tasks (if you use one for gaming one for editing films, vote for the editing films one)
  14. "smaller than flex ATX" is the vote for you
