Samsung 49" 1440p super UW is on sale right now and man it is tempting to buy it, would be able to replace my mostly dead 1440p screen and my old 1200p screen with it.
That HDR 1000 and 120Hz freensync hhmmmm

    What does "on sale" mean tho? How much is it? 

    Just yesterday I saw the 1080p 49" and that's terrible. 1440p is obviously multiple times better but I still think it's too wide and too curvy.

    By super UW do you mean 32:9?  Perhaps things have changed but last time I looked at one it was massively overpriced.  It's basically half a monitor of the same horizontal res but for twice the price.

    well it is on sale for a little under 1000€ (normal price being 1350€), and yeah 32:9. What is really attractive about it is the fact that it is HDR 1000, so 1000 nit, unlike the 1080p one.
    It would be able to replace both of my screens more comfortably than a single 34-35" UW. (Because of my speakers I can't really fit both a 34-35" UW and a vertical screen to my left like I have right now.)
    Next best would be like a LG 34GK950 and Dell AW3418DW, both are IPS so that's a big plus for me, but tops out at 400 nit and 300 nit respectively

    might just wait on a 60Hz QHD UW to go on sale for like 400-500€
