So yeah I got a "new" laptop, I was able to find a ThinkPad P50 for about 900 USD with these specs:

  • i7 6820HQ
  • Quadro M2000M
  • 24gb of ram
  • 256GB NVMe
  • 1TB SSHD
  • 1080p IPS

So I am quite happy, since it is basically 1/4th of what a new P52 would have ended up costing me. I will probably add another 8GB of ram at some point and maybe change the SSHD to a SSD.

    Time to use it to make a robot in CAD and send the file over to a company :D

    There is also 9-10 months of warranty left

    thats fucking siiiick. a similair specced model i saw was like 1400 usd in NA here.

    I kinda want to get a dock for it, but man they are expensive, especially the ones that use the port and not just TB3.

    Hopefully this will last me 2.5-3 years, but even if it only last me a year, then that would be okay too tbh, since then I can probably find a cheap used P52 :D
