  1. so far none of the things I wanted to buy is on sale, great. I can't find a good 1440p 100Hz UW on sale in Denmark or a 4k normal 16:9 that is above 60Hz....

This black friday has been fairly disapointing, most of the sales are just barely below what the price was 3-6months ago

  2. Samsung 49" 1440p super UW is on sale right now and man it is tempting to buy it, would be able to replace my mostly dead 1440p screen and my old 1200p screen with it.
That HDR 1000 and 120Hz freensync hhmmmm

By super UW do you mean 32:9?  Perhaps things have changed but last time I looked at one it was massively overpriced.  It's basically half a monitor of the same horizontal res but for twice the price.

well it is on sale for a little under 1000€ (normal price being 1350€), and yeah 32:9. What is really attractive about it is the fact that it is HDR 1000, so 1000 nit, unlike the 1080p one.
It would be able to replace both of my screens more comfortably than a single 34-35" UW. (Because of my speakers I can't really fit both a 34-35" UW and a vertical screen to my left like I have right now.)
Next best would be like a LG 34GK950 and Dell AW3418DW, both are IPS so that's a big plus for me, but tops out at 400 nit and 300 nit respectively

might just wait on a 60Hz QHD UW to go on sale for like 400-500€

  3. I have found a BenQ EX3501R, which seems to get a lot of positive reviews, but at the same time I seem to find some rather negative reviews about VA panels in curved UWQHD monitors.
  4. As the titel says I am looking for a UWQHD monitor with 80% DCI-P3 or hgiher, but still be decent/good for gaming, so not too long input delay and well above 60Hz would be nice, but not a requirement. My main ussage for the screen in productivity (Inventor, SolidWorks, FL studio, ableton live, word and etc.) the secondary ussage will be gaming and movies. The monitor needs to be compatible with VESA mounts. Regarding the price, I would say as low as possible, but max around what is a 700-750 USD screen in the US, since prices are typically 25%'ish higher here than they are in the US. My plan is to probably wait until black friday, so having a couple of options that fit the bill would be nice. Thank you for reading
  5. Slowly getting ready for the autumn and winter MTB season. Also got a new half lid helmet since I crashed and broke my old half lid.
  6. got my new MTB helmet and it is broken... Sigh, I have contacted the store 1.5 hours before they closed, but I probably won't hear back from them before noon tomorrow.

  7. Hype finally bought a new trail MTB helmet and a full face helmet. Once they get here I can ride again :D

  8. DAC stands for digital to audio converter, it takes the 1s and 0s your PC spits out and makes them analog, then the analog signal is send to whatever amp you have connected to the DAC and amplifies the analog signal. You can connect your headphones to the amps output. Your PC already has a DAC build in, but the quality of it isn't the greastest, but it is there, so you can just buy a amp like the JDS Atom or Schiit magni 3 and connect it to your PC via the RCA on the back of the unit, and ofc a RCA to 3.5mm cable. For microphones you need a ADC, which is an analog to digital converter. Microphone interfaces typically have these if they are made to connect to a PC.
  9. As of today I can no longer recommend RME, their service is horrible in case of a defective unit, that has a fairly common issue.

  10. So my RME ADI 2 DAC has been in for a repair since the 9th of August.... RME decided that they at one point wanted to go on vacation until the 2nd of September... Still no update on how far it is, except I might still be looking at a 4 week wait to get it back, and Thomann haven't been willing to just refund me... sigh...

  11. Nice, how are you liking it so far?
  12. ey nice, we have the same watch model, well almost, I got the Padi version and I see that you also went with a nato strap. NICE
  13. so my RME ADI 2 DAC broke.... Hopefully I will get my money back and not just a new unit or a repaired unit. It is a good sounding unit, I just can't afford to bleed money like I am doing in this downtime.

  14. so I have had my new watch for a little over a week now and I am really happy with it, since it is comfy and doesn't come in my way. Since it is summer and it is a diver watch I had to go with a nato strap in red and sand'ish color

Thanks man, I really love it.

  15. For the last couple of days I have been trying to find a rather slim and small wallet that can keep coins, cards and notes, just like the fjällräven wallet I have. But it has turned out to be a bigger challenge than I thought.

    1. Bananasplit_00

Fjällräven make wallets? I might want one of those to replace my leather one as its in need of a second round of repairs fairly soon

    2. Dackzy

oh yeah and from my experience they are really durable, they are made out from the same material as their jackets with G1000 water protection. Sadly they don't make the one I have anymore, but granted my wallet is also 12 years old or something like that and one of the sippers just broke a little over a week ago.
