  1. Someone told me this before. But I do not know where to even look or find an auction.
  2. I found someone selling a Dell 2850 for $250. I want to build a home server to run some distros of Linux, plex, and a bit of storage. Few of my questions are. what is the most current OS I can run on it? Can it do what I want it to do? can I throw some 3.5 to upgrade the storage? Is it better to build a server from an older computer? The description: 3 145GB drives in sleds 4GB ddr2 RAM 500MB vRAM Dual Xeon 3.0GHz. No OS. I power tested it and it boots.
  3. I know a guy who just upgraded from a 2080Super to a 3080Ti. He offered to sell me 2080s for 600 usd. I am concerned about a few things. -Is it worth the price - will I run into any issues - what are red flags to look for - should I wait or spend my money on something else? Any help would appreciated PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/C6D8Tn CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($287.00 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Gigabyte X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory ($75.98 @ Amazon) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory ($75.98 @ Amazon) Storage: ADATA Premier SP550 120 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital Caviar Green 500 GB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB Video Card ($4146.10 @ Amazon) Case: NZXT S340 ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: EVGA 500 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($108.78 @ Other World Computing) Wireless Network Adapter: TP-Link Archer T8E PCIe x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter Monitor: HP 27 27.0" 1920x1080 60 Hz Monitor Monitor: Acer EI272UR Pbmiiipx 27.0" 2560x1440 144 Hz Monitor ($259.99 @ Amazon) Keyboard: Logitech G710 Wired Gaming Keyboard ($325.00 @ Amazon) Mouse: Logitech G305 (Black) Wireless Optical Mouse ($32.42 @ Amazon) Custom: Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) USB Audio Interface with Pro Tools | First ($119.99 @ Amazon) Custom: Peavey Studio Pro M1 Condenser Microphone ($199.99 @ Amazon) Custom: Sennheiser HD 58x ($170.00) Total: $5801.23
