    no. no need to worry.

honestly I no longer recommend MalewareBytes, because Windows defender has gotten good enough for most people now.

i do the same, but on newegg. filter to hell.
even if you don't end up buying on newegg.
the benefit of pcpartpicker is that it shoes you prices at multiple shops

quadros aren't really for gaming and the keplar line is pretty old.

if you're set on OCing, use MSI afterburner or ASUS GPU Tweak II

Upgrade your PSU. Most PSU in Pre-builts are a time bomb waiting to explode.

I'm still really upset that it's been 6 years since the battleblock theater steam release trailer and not a single RAM maker has put out RAM Sticks with little Rams on it.

VioDuskar got a reaction from Belac F in Will my pc run future games?
future performance depends on the game, and how it is optimized, as well as the drivers from nvidia.
this is always a question that will be answered with "wait and see"

anytime someone asks "will my PC be able to do/play this in the future"
the answer will always be "wait and see"

this is correct. GPU-Z should tell him this in the little tool tip, or in the render test.

why not turn PC off, and remove the power cable, then push and hold the Power button to drain the power from the motherboard?

you should be fine if the PC is off.

bandwidth is cut to reduce power, since the card is at idle. when gaming, it'll be @PCIe x16 3.0

unpopular opinion: why not get a chromebook? video editing might suck on it, but the same is true on any other 250$ machine

Unfortunately there are no "regular PCIe cables", but you can tell us the model of your power supply and hopefully we could think of something. Also, you can ask the manufacturer if replacement cables are available.

VioDuskar got a reaction from hawayman in PC Freezes after some time?
ground issues don't always happen the moment you turn it on. sometimes it's when you plug the port, sometimes it's a computer freeze, other times a full black shutdown.

your issue may be with a USB port on the back IO from the motherboard itself.

    1500W or nothing bro.

Just kidding. that PSU is fine, but it's incompatibility isn't wattage. it's not modular and might not have the 8+8 pins that the 2080S wants.
for almost every build i recommend 750W PSUs. it's enough for guys that want to SLI, and it's enough to enter no fan modes for people with little power draws.

i'd pick your own PSU instead of just getting one bundled with a case.

VioDuskar got a reaction from Spotty in How does grounding affect your pc?
your input lag is probably a different problem that is a conversation for a different day. once you get your grounding issue sorted make another thread about your input lag.

make sure you tell us what your specs are, what games you play, what type of control you use, if you use WiFi or LAN cables, what GPU drivers you use.

I'd suggest a good Samsung 970Evo 1TB m.2 and yes, any SATA drive will work for mass storage.
if you're going for some RAM with FlexFactor™ you should get the ICONIC Dominator Platinums from corsair. with the highest clocks you can find. and then overclock that sh*t. you know, for Flexin'™

while most everything looks fine, for VMs and Video editing i'd get a CPU refresh if you're not getting the results you want.
i'd monitor your RAM usage and see if you need more later, i don't know how you use your machine.

if you're trying to go with VR, hear me out.
    I have an Oculus Rift CV1. i use it with a GTX1070 +intel 7700k.
it's okay. it's playable, but i've got a RTX2070Super on the way and i'm trying to find an Oculus Rift S in stock.

i don't think the GTX 1060 will be preferable for VR. i know it's what the Oculus Rift S suggests for specs, but it's really a minimum.

TL:DR add more RAM if needed, do a CPU refresh only if you NEED it, get a better GPU for VR.

PS: I appreciate this well formatted post.

this post looks like it wasted all it's budget on a monitor, then started building a pc to go with it, but only had leftover funds.

did you already buy this monitor? why did you pick that monitor?
