so, normally i sleep in my apartment that is very much like a dorm room. my PC is right by my bed.
however, tonight and for the next week i'll be staying at my dads. this means no nice fx-9590 room heating for a week.
 
my laptop will be my only heat source. i guess i better keep it close.
i'll leave Atmosk (my desktop) folding the whole week while i'm gone. so i know it will generate even more heat, which makes me even more jelly.
 
anyway. ITT we talk about leaving our computers and we miss them because humanity has developed a symbiotic companion for itself
also, we now treat computers like they are a fire, providing us warmth and light each night. (as well as food if you order pizza online)
 
TL:DR? WTF have we become humanity?
 

Not gonna pretend I haven't ghetto heated my room before. Long nights of gaming with the heat off in the winter with only my GPU to keep me warm.

You can tell if your PC gets set on fire or if you are running an AMD GPU you probably need more fans
 
 
 
On a more serious note, just monitor your PC temps and if they get too high then get more fans. It shouldnt be too much of a problem even running with very few fans

I had an crazy stupid F nut idea that might intrest luke and brandon and all other employees from Linus Media Group or the forum.

 

What if , the employees of linus would roast linus when the linus tech tips channel reaches 2,000,000 subs .

 

Now i am ( or the people at linus media group and the Linus tech tip forums IF they would like to partisipate in this )  going to make a wager ,

If , the channel reaches 2,000,000 subs by the end of 2015 ,

 

Linus would get to be raosted infront of the camera , eather LIVE via twitch or xsplit .

If some one misses it , like me , early accsess sould be on vessel and lastly youtube .

 

and if it does not happen , linus gets to run off and not get roasted , OR here is a crazy stupid idea you might hate me for it ,

when the channel does not reach 2,000,000 subs , luke will be strapp't with a shock collar for the next WAN show and he would have to ware it for the rest of the show and linus can zap him when ever he feels like it . this is just a sugguestion , not saying to do it.

 

now the '' punishment of the employees '' can be altered . the forum can get creative with the punishment.

 

But this is how i want linus media group to celebrate when they reach 2,000,000 subs .

p.s if linus doesnt want to do it . then we dont do it.

Thanks a ton. just wanted to know the WC part costs. i really want to get 4/5 rads, 2 pumps and 2 reservoirs. might try to hunt down some used parts.

I love LGA775. That's where I learned a lot about computers. I had some OEM G31 board (Foxconn G31MX-K) and got my Pentium E2200 from 2.2GHz to 3.1GHz and I felt like some kind of god

The 5930K has 40 CPU lanes. Downgrade it to a 5820K, and buy a second 970 please.
A single 970 will not be able to push triple 1440P, especially with the VRAM issues.
 
Either that, or ditch the 4k television and buy a Titan X, or two 980's.
