a new drive should be ACHI by default, to verify go into the BIOS and look under your SATA settings.

    DSP - OEM :
OEM versions of Windows are identical to Full License Retail versions except for the following:
    - OEM versions do not offer any free Microsoft direct support from Microsoft support personnel
    - OEM licenses are tied to the very first computer you install and activate it on
    - OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard
    - OEM versions cannot be used to directly upgrade from an older Windows operating system

i wouldn't consider an ITX for a workstation at all. either EATX or ATX.
if your programs use CPU compute, then go with a threadripper, otherwise, pack the 5950x on an ATX board so you can slot another quadro later if you use GPU compute.

ITX is going to cap you at 64GB of ram and if you find your projects need more than that you can't cram in any more sticks. go with ATX for the 4 dimm slots and extra PCIe slots.
i'd use those 2x 32GB sticks instead of the 4x16GB sticks too, to save space for later.

your case is up to you.
you don't need an Auros M.2, just get a samsung.
do not cheap out on a PSU. go 750W on either build. if you add a 2nd quadro or upgrade toi a higher TDP card later you're going to regret the 550W
always get a wifi motherboard, even if you're going in LAN. no one ever regrets that. and situations change down the road. flexibility is key.

why are you running Heaven then? why not run Unigine's Superposition? then you could compare your scores with the leaderboards online. you would get a better idea if you're within your GPU class or not.

additionally, you use test with 1920x1080 instead of wide screen. i use a 3440x1440, but because scores are all in 1080p, i use that resolution instead.
this lets your compare 1 for 1, otherwise you'll see less fps for the same test and same GPU because the resolution isn't the same.

anything above 3200 requires you to enable XMP profiles within the BIOS of your motherboard. otherwise they will run at 3200 or lower.

it's an antiglare coating they put on them. it's not normally an advertised feature, just something you might get with higher end displays.

try with a different mic, report results. i assume you're using an analogue tip, ring, sleeve in the 3.5mm jack on your computer?

OP, these other guys are right though. you're probably not going to see much (if any) performance improvement by moving a monitor off the primary GPU, but for 15$ it's not like you're being super wasteful.

VioDuskar got a reaction from CT854 in Would buying a GPU be smart in the current time?
if you are satisfied with your GPU there is no reason to go out and buy another just to have one. if the games you play put out enough frames to match your monitor, you're fine forever.

the best reason to upgrade a GPU is because you want to do something you've never done before. "I want to try VR" or "I want to get 144FPS to match my 144Hz monitor" or even "let's see what this ray tracing is all about"  these are reasons to upgrade. not "my GPU model number is old"

as long as you have a 2nd PCI-e slot you can use a 2nd card for a 2nd monitor. it will work.
you won't be able to SLI/NV-Link them. the only benefit you would get is additional monitor outputs.

just displaying out to a monitor isn't using much resources. are you attempting to do renders with them? what do you need the "resources" for?

CPU, mobo, RAM and PSU is the barest minimum. If the CPU doesn't have an iGPU, then you'd need a graphics card, additionally.
