HDD, because precious SSD space...
it really won't matter. norton should not attempt to defrag the SSD for any reason.
-
add an SSD and RAM.
swap to win7 and the phenom if you can. even 32bit version.

Yes i have acces to bios and it gives me option to overclock it
But i've never tried to unlock it.
oh hell yeah. unlock and clock baby. report results, i take no responsibility in the event that you fry that sucker.
-
I am not sure if i can do that. Do you think i should try?
hell yeah try. worth a shot.
if your laptop will let you do it in the BIOS.
i always wanted a tricore just so i could unlock that thing

Yes there is such thing as a 3 Core CPU, Take a look at the link...
did you read your own link? both replys talk about how 3 core CPUs are lackluster 4cores that lost the silicon lottery.
-
-
If it's a triple core CPU, I'm not sure if a 4th core exists within it...
all triples are really duel duel cores.
-
i'm pretty sure you could. there is a cult somewhere didicated to unlocking 3core CPUs

R.I.P another victim of a faulty custom loop.Try sun drying it or soaking everything in a tub of rice then dry it afterwards with a hair dryer see what works and what dosent. There is a chance of course depending on the amount leakage occurred, that something must have survived.
he needs to clean off everything with achohol before drying it.
why do people have a rice addiction? have you ever tried rice? starch powder on all my shit is not cool.
a hair dryer is a good method too.

you try replacing the CMOS battery?
your guess on the bios battery (CMOS battery) is probably right.
when you shut down it still might need to save the last good settings to the CMOS, but it cant.

Pffft. I'm a pro.
but you're not a writer of freeverse.

Tbh I only wanted them because they looked awesome and it felt good telling my friends I had a liquid cooled PC. This time I'll be sticking with some high tech fans once I try to raise more money.
this is why i tell people not to custom cool if they aren't OCing like a boss.
just because it looks cool doesnt mean you should do it.

It is gone
I'm on my phone atm
Couldn't salvage any hardware. My build cost altogether was around 3000 and I kept adding stuff.
RIP
here's my advice, take everything apart.
buy 3 bottles of isopropyl rubbing alchohol.
RISNSE everything with it, let it dry 2-3 days.
reassemble. pray to the CPU gods.

custom loops... leave it to the prose.

pretty sure there won't be any board partners, just like the other titans.

happens to me too. always wondered what the deal was and if i was the only one. i think canadia is trying to keep LTT from spilling country secrets.
or linus's guys need to work on their webhosting.

Is Intel core i5-680@3.6 Ghz enough?
maybe if you overclock it and put flame stickers all over your CPU and case and motherboard and harddrives, and fans, and cooking appliances.

Hey,
When I'm building a new pc, I need windows... I can buy it here (netherlands) for 120 euro's or buy it for 27 euro's on kinguin.net, however this is an OEM version. Are there any drawbacks of this version of windows, except for the fact that there are no useless instructions?
follow your topic...
also, please don't go OEM. read above.
-
Yes it locks to your motherboard so you can't use it on any other PC or use it with a new motherboard.
i don't think this is true, but i know how win8 works with laptops now and it makes me suspicious....

can't use more than 16GB of ram, no media tools, it's like windows basic-N
i'd get a pro or ultimate version.

Thanks for all the reply's!
I was only wondering as my system keeps having issues with blue screens and hanging but I can't find a problem anywhere so I thought I would pose the question Thanks again
@The Pi really has the best answer here. you don't need to worry, just like when dual channel appeared, you could still single channel and not see much of a difference. the speed numbers just won't look as pretty.

i think DDR4 will take another year or so to get to DDR3 prices. but now we're off topic.

3/8th inner diameter tubes
with G1/4 fittings.
those are the most common, widely used sizes.

that's the only thing i can think of. other than a fualty pwer supply and battery. which you could try to replace first too.
either way, if you have a power issue it's 99.9% of the time a hardware issue.
