As long as the computer of the gearbox does still function correctly the CVT should be able to take it. As far as im aware Honda uses Steel belts in their cvt's and those nearly never fail

so i went to my parts guy 45km away, could get the parts for the New Beetle €75 cheaper then at the local autoparts store
