It probably won't be noticeable until you get something close to 120hz.

Kingston HyperX Fury vs Corsair Vengance Pro
AndrewSKY replied to Advic3's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
What everyone else is saying! I have the white series of the HyperX 16GB and love it, but the Corsair model would most likely perform the same. -
Yes! I have it and it does a great bright white color or dim.
-
lets say i have a budget of $400..

Purchased a inexpensive gtx 980 on Craigslist
AndrewSKY replied to clevercouple's topic in Graphics Cards
Which do you prefer? Money left over or better gaming? Two 970's kickbutt, although two 980's all the more if you have extra money. -
The ASUS Z97-A with USB 3.1 is only $148 if you're interested in getting the latest USB port speeds
-
Yeah, after I posted I saw that he said he had another stick which is great! Personally, $148 is not expensive to me, the Sabertooth is. It was only a suggestion after all.
-
Dual RAM kits are generally better. Also the ASUS Z97-A with USB 3.1 ports is a great motherboard if you can afford it at $148 right now!
-
While it's none of my peripheral.. (pun intended) if it's a good quality project (ex. Corsair, Logitech, and more) I probably would go for it. Especially if it was a good amount cheaper than brand-new.

Is DDR4 memory a thing for laptops?
AndrewSKY replied to 10ochamberlain1's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Yes it is! But you'll need to make sure it's compatible in case you were interested in purchasing some http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/memory-ddr4-info -
Sorry, I had already talked about some parts in previous threads so I didn't mention other components. I will be using this for gaming, but I am a multitasker as well and can afford to get the i7 so I went with that CPU. With the GPU, I plan on going SLI with the 970's, but right now I will not need it. (Thus the amount of PSU watts chosen) I figured two SSD's should be fine for now, but I will definitely get a bigger drive when I need more than 490GB of storage. Only the SSD's and WiFi Adapter have been purchased. My main questions I am looking for answers again are: but I'm wondering how many cable combs you would recommend? What is the best thermal compound? What is the best fan placements in the 450D?
-
Hey guys! This is what I want to go with, but I'm wondering how many cable combs you would recommend? Looks like at least one of the 4, 6, 8, and 24 slot combs to me. http://www.performance-pcs.com/e22-cable-comb-4-24-slots-black.html Also what is the best thermal compound? The one I selected I just figured that's what many people get. I want to overclock so is there something that would transfer heat a little bit better or is Arctic the best? Also what is the best fan placements in the 450D? I figured one on the top, two at the front (will switch to AF140's), and one at the back?
