  1. My favorite part of the Z2 is its design. I love the thin form factor and clean aesthetic that Sony achieved with this device. My favorite part about dbrand is that their skins don't add any extra bulk to the devices that they cover.
  2. It's still decent. My brother is currently using an S3 and he doesn't feel the need to upgrade to an S4 or even the upcoming S5. I can't speak from personal experience since I've only used the phone for around an hour total, but he's happy with it.
  3. Are you looking at other gaming laptop vendors as well or do you definitely want an Alienware? I'm currently using an Asus G55VW and I'm really happy with it. I would also take a look at Asus' gaming laptops and see if there's any that you like (don't get the same one I have though, there are newer models available). I can say from having used Asus' and Alienware's gaming laptops extensively that Asus' tend to have better cooling (those massive fans on the back really work). EDIT: Also, just so you know, a lot of gaming laptop vendors (including Alienware) are using the 880m now rather than the 780m. The Alienware 17 can have up to an 880m and the Alienware 18 can have up to two 880ms running in SLI.
  4. I've had one for the last few months. I got the 32GB model for $99 during Microsoft's "12 Days of Deals" promotion last December (I had to camp outside of the Microsoft store for around 6 hours in order to get it for that price though). For that price, I feel like it's outstanding. The 64GB model for $209 also sounds like a great deal. The resolution of the screen isn't very high, but the quality of the panel is great. Colors are very vibrant and it has great contrast. The processor used in the tablet (Atom 3740D) works well for my purposes, which generally include internet browsing, video streaming, and light gaming (mainly Hearthstone). A nice addition is that it comes with Microsoft Office 2013, but I'm not sure if that'll apply if you're getting a refurbished one. Build quality of the tablet is another plus. The rubberized material is very nice (I'm a sucker for soft touch rubber surfaces) and grippy. Overall, I'm really happy with it.
  5. The largest image to the left looks like Diablo III: Reaper of Souls... The two hook-like projections at the sides resemble the scythes, but I could be wrong. This is what I'm talking about:
  6. The d-pad and the central smaller buttons are reminiscent of the ones on the Xbox One controller and the analog sticks look nearly identical to those on the Xbox 360 controller. Overall, I don't think it's a bad design. The only thing that concerns me is the angular design of the handles (I don't know what else to call them haha), but I'll need to actually hold one before I make any judgements/conclusions.
  7. Asus G55VW. It's great for gaming and isn't so big that it's difficult to carry around. Also, it has EXCELLENT cooling.
  8. I am very pleased with my current laptop, the Asus G55VW-DS71 (a configuration of the G55).
  9. I currently own an Asus G55VW-DS71. I am very pleased with it. If I had the option, I would have purchased a more portable laptop to bring around with me and a desktop for gaming and intensive applications that require additional power. However, I do not have much room for a monitor, peripherals, and a desktop computer in my dormitory room. Thus, I opted to go for a gaming laptop. I am not very fussy when it comes to gaming performance. My previous computer was a Dell that had a GeForce 5200 FX. I had that one until just a few months ago. Stepping up to the G55 was monumental for me in terms of gaming performance, even though I was moving from a desktop to a laptop. Overall, the smaller form factor and decent power suit my circumstance well.
  10. I usually purchase from Amazon. I also frequent TechBargains to see if I can catch some deals from lesser-known vendors.
  11. What are your thoughts on virtual surround sound? Many headphones now utilize software that simulates a 7.1 surround experience. Have you used headphones that use this feature? How was the effect? What is your favorite pair of virtual surround headphones or what is your favorite virtual surround headset? I just got thinking about this because of the announcement of Sennheiser's PC 350 Special Edition (stereo) and PC 363D (uses Dolby Pro Logic IIx to simulate a 7.1 channel surround configuration).
