uhm... what?
Are you talking about the "Cyber Information Sharing Act" CISA? What does that have to do with NASA funding at all? And why would NASA have anything to do with fixing CISA?
Your post is a bit incoherent. Perhaps you can explain what you mean a bit more thoroughly?

Voldy21 got a reaction from MrDynamicMan in Live Forever ? GladOS ? What ? SIGN ME UP
I think you've missed something rather important. Just because someone might hold the belief that they do not contain an "immortal essence" doesn't mean that they don't value philosophy or spirituality. That person might be a person that is very serious about morality and helping others but doesn't necessarily need to believe that they're special in order to do so. People of no belief don't have that issue. They don't think they're utterly worthless because the things they do matter now. Life is so fleeting and beautiful in the time that it's here that it's worth experiencing. This is the only life that people have so why not enjoy it and live it to the fullest.
I actually think that people who think they're immortal have the problem you're talking about! Everything they do now would have zero impact to events that will occur 5 billion years in the future. Everything they do now will have no meaning so why do they do anything now? If you're a Christian or believe in getting a gift in the afterlife then you should want to die as soon as possible because you'll be able to live a life of bliss while the actions you performed in your previous life would just wash away like markings on the beach. Why do they even try to make a difference in the world? Sure they might believe if they don't be good then they'll be punished but that doesn't mean they'll make any more of an impact on the world while they're here. Nor does that mean that they shouldn't want to die early from an accident or something.
In my opinion

Voldy21 got a reaction from RetroSmoo in SSD upgrade kit for my laptop
As some of you might guess, I watched Jayz video on upgrading your computer and I realized that's what I want to do. I have a computer that I bought in december of last year that's so slow that I'm willing to buy a completely different computer but I'm thinking that putting in an ssd would be a better solution. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what upgrade kit I should get?
I have this http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-15-3543-Touchscreen-Notebook/dp/B00RH69WRM/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1443665979&sr=1-5&keywords=dell+inspiron+15+3000+i5+touchscreen

Voldy21 reacted to DarkBlade2117 in 3-year old son's first PC build parts list
I have no idea why you guys are all complaining, IT IS LINUS WHAT DO YOU EXPECT. Do not ask why he does stuff just accept it. Honestly if this is for his son though I doubt anything a 3 year old will do can utilize more then 2 cores of the 5960x, maybe 1? I know when I was three I was playing stick figure games on AddictingGames website and Bloons Tower Defense. Linus.. a 5960X That cost more then some peoples rig . Then again, like I have mentioned it is Lins we are talking about so what more do we expect.

Voldy21 got a reaction from ingoi in A math question regarding this specefic reciprocal
Okay, thank you for the formula and the formula is correct although you might as well say it's a/a=1. a*1 = a so it would be a/a=1.
If you plug in 2 for a, because 2=a in this problem, you don't get 2*(1)/(1/2) you get 2*(1)/(2)=1 and that's true. Your problem was that you were plugging in the wrong numbers.

Voldy21 got a reaction from ingoi in A math question regarding this specefic reciprocal
Yes. (2/1) / (1/2) is 4 but that's something completely different than from what we're talking about.
if you want to find the reciprocal of any number then you divide that number you want to get the reciprocal of by 1. So if you want to find the reciprocal of 1/2 then you put 1/(1/2). Using the rule I showed you it should be
(1)/(1/2) or (1)*(2/1) = 2. That's all there is. I don't know the exact equation that you're talking about so you'll have to show it to me.
You made it a little confusing.
In the problem 1/(1/2 * x) = 1 the first thing you should do is what's inside the parentheses.
Therefore, it would be 1/(x/2) which would make it (1)*(2/x) which would make it (2/x)=1. Then you multiply x on both sides making it x=2.
You did some weird stuff. I think you distributed so that you divided 1 by everything in the parentheses? Is that what you did? Makes things a little confusing when you're doing it on this kind of format

Firstly, I would decide on a frame. The Flamewheel is a very popular one, and fairly cheap. You pick ESC's depending on the predicted power draw of the motor. As long as they are rated for higher that the maximum draw of each motor you should be fine, but a quick google will lead to a wealth of resources to help with this. Motors you have already sorted, though 1400kv are very powerful, particularly if this is your first quad. I might suggest getting some smaller ones first, and then upgrading once you master flight controls.
Microcontrollers are another area that you can spend hours researching. Simply put, if you want everything super easy (but pay a premium for), the NAZA is the unit to go for as it gives an easy upgrade path for the novice builder. However, a very popular alternative is the CC3D which is much cheaper and can do an awful lot if you have the time to tinker and set it up.
A good resource to get you started- http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/multi-rotor-quadcopter-fpv,3828.html

Fair enough. 30A should be plenty. What battery set up are you thinking of going with?
-
Voldy21 reacted to Chronos5618 in Project Quad X .. Quad copter from scratch build log !
Indeed, but alas they are necessary. There are two key points to bare in mind with them though. The first, is that with great size, comes greater weight and thus less flight time. Therefore, don't be tempted to just strap on the biggest battery you can get your hands on. A 4 cell should be a good starting point, but it again comes down to how much power your motors are drawing. If they are running at near maximum a lot of the time, you'll need a bigger battery, while if they are only being lightly used then a smaller battery will give you better results as it will be lighter.
A little more detail- LiPo batteries have a C rating, which is the capacity to discharge i.e. how many amps it is able to put out continuously. For example, a 25C 4000mAh battery is able to continuously put out 102.5A (25 x 4.1). If you quad is going to draw more than that, then obviously you need a bigger battery. So, lets say that your motors draw 20A max each. 20 x 4= 80A continuous draw at full throttle. Thus, a 25C 400mAh battery is going to be able to supply this and will be fine.
The second point to be aware of is a matter of saftey. LiPo batteries pretty much explode if you deplete them completely, so it is really important that you factor that into your calculations. Play by the 80% rule i.e. never deplete it greater than 80% of total capacity. It's worth incorporating a battery alarm into your build for this purpose, so that you get an audio warning when you near the threshold, so you can land and recharge.
