  1. I was wondering if Asus sold their Mark 1 thermal armor kit separately, or if i could send back my mark 2 and pay the difference between them. I tried the live chat but they outsource, and the agent (literally one guy, i tried cycling the agents and i kept getting the same guy) couldnt help me at all.
  2. Alternatively, ive got a spare 140mm fan and nothing to do with it, are these kinds of fans interchangebale?
  3. As the title says, I built my pc outside my case to test all my components before putting them in my case, and when it finally all powered on, I heard a LOUD grinding noise from my power supply. Peaking in with a flashlight, it looks like the fan blades are..somehow.. grinding against what looks like the frame for the back side of the fan. I havent opened this power supply even once before, and this is my first time powering it on. Looking online, i havent seen anyone else with this problem on this specific power supply, so its really odd. Im debating getting some torx and opening it up and notching the frame instead of RMAing it, as it would probably take ages. What should i do?
  4. Forgot my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TF6ThM
  5. *gives small nod to the other thread going on* A while ago I was getting a couple hard drive related blue screens probably due to horrible cable management so I redid my cables. Tried firing it up, and it didnt post. Now ive reseated pretty much everything, built it out the case, redid cable management LOTS of times and went to the last resort of just putting cables willy nilly in the system and it didnt post. I havent got any other working hardware to test the parts to see what I have to rma, so I have no idea whats wrong. What do?
  6. Eeh, too expensive and id have problems with compatability as uses have stated above, so I think im gonna get extensions instead. Not sure what color to get yet though, my build is a really mixed bag.
  7. Alright, well with that, who should I buy from? Cablemod and Primochill seem to be the main competitors, but I have no idea how many cablemod's full kit goes for and primochill's kit for my power supply is quite too expensive ($90). I also have no idea what colors to go, ehe.. Heres my build. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/L8dCGX
  8. As the title says, should I buy sleeving or do it myself. It seems pretty expensive from what ive seen to get fully sleeved cables, would it be less expensive doing it myself? PSU im using is an EVGA Supernova 1000G1. Thanks in advance.
  9. Actually no, the 970 chipset cant handle the 8350 besides what AMD's website will tell you. Motherboards like the 970A-G46 actually have caught fire due to installing them into the board. You're gonna need a 990FX board to do it safely. But I could be wrong.
  10. The R5 has mainly 140MM fans, should I go for the bigger noctua NF-A14?
  11. Try moving the GPU to a lower slot on the board, also if you have it, try another power supply.
  12. Dark rock runs quieter? Well alright, ill opt for that. However, now that we're going air cooling, what fans(inb4NFF12) , and how many fans should I buy? Do I need a fan controller? Also, do I need to set up fan curves for optimal silence?
  13. Building another computer, about quarter the way through at of getting all the parts. Was wondering what would be more optimal for silence, air cooling (Something like a noctua NH-U14) or water cooling (H110i GTX). I was going to run the noctua with 5x corsair SP140 fans in the system but I had a change in cases. What should I do? Current case is a Fractal Design R5, also ive already purchased one SP140 fan. Heres the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/yfWCNG Sankyuu, and happy new year <3
