  1. lemme try. with that, i adjust bit rate to 1mbps right?
  2. sucks I live in a country where 1mbps upload is the mainstream.. would 720p30 artifact on 1mbps?
  3. What would be a below-5mbps good stream for a 720p35fps?
  4. at the moment, I'm playing with A8-6600K with 7750. Mainly streaming Dota2 at max settings. And what would be a suggestable bitrate for that (considering 750-1Mbps speed and requirement of 720p30fps)
  5. What would be the lowest recommended upload speed for twitch streaming at 720p 40-fps-ish? I currently got a 750kbps (unstable up to 1.1Mbps) upload right now, and I'm watching my past broadcasts, it ended up at 480p with artificating.
  6. Oculus' requirements are i5-4590 or equivalent/better, R9 290 equivalent/better or GTX 970 equivalent/better, 8GB RAM, 2 USB ports. Linus' build is FX6350, R9 285, 8GB RAM
  7. I'm still thinking about the AMD version of i5-4590 (which is the recommended for OR).
  8. Looking at the GPU, it is below the recommended requirements. And looking why the OR team made it to 290, is because of motion sickness. I myself, am not a motion sickness guy. So can his 4K build handle OR?
  9. I roughly need 45 degrees of tilt. Any suggestable one? Seeing in Amazon, I could set the bar at low-100s
  10. hmm.. what about a camcorder only setup? I'll be only using it for Youtube videos that I'll be uploading. Nothing more since my phone can shot good quality images

  12. What would be the budget-est DSLR camera that offers both 720p HD video record and a flippable (not sure if flippable, but consider movable might help) LCD display while recording? I'm setting a $300 budget max
  13. So H97 is newer than a Z87/Z97 board? Though I won't be doing quick upgrades to my system. I'm most likely sticking to 4690K for 3 years or so. RE mATX + mid tower: I can hide the cables easier with a SPEC-01, right? I'll be also using a semi-modular PSU (CX500M)
  14. I'll be building a $1000 Corsair-themed rig, but questions are bugging me quite a while: 1. Aesthetic-wise, would a mATX board be good at SPEC-01? 1.5. Would I get an ATX board that will only house a single PCI slot for the GPU, or go mATX? 2. Is there a wide performance result if I use H97 than a Z87? Though I'm not planning to overclock a good i5-4690K, or at the most, overclock it to +1 GHz 3. What's the function of other 1150 boards like B, H, and Z series. (B85, H87, H97, Z87, Z97 to be exact)
  15. Here's what I'm about to do starting July. In preparation for the Oculus, I'll be having myself a Corsair-based rig for it. Here's the specs Any comments or suggestions will be nice
  16. My final decision is a 4690K + Z97 MSI Gaming 3, with a Corsair H60
  17. Hmm.. What about a B85 with an AIO CPU loop? Though I'll not overclock either 4690K or 4590 (Whatever fits my budget between the two procs)
  18. Just an option, it's either I go S340 or any other smaller case that could fit a 970 As much as I want to, I wanna do a custom loop for myself I can only afford a B85 for a board.
  19. Would it be recommendable to have a mini-ATX board on an i5-4690K and a single GTX 970 with a custom loop? I'm not planning on multiple cards or SLIs and RAID slots though. And would it look bad if I put it on a NZXT S340 case?
  20. I plan of having a 2x4GB kit. It's either a 970 or R290 is my only viable option. The price difference of 290X and 980 is way off for the minimal budget.. (Trying to go below $800)
  21. At most, I'll be using the Rift as probably my highest-CPU/GPU using app. But most of the time, I'll be using it for MOBAs (and I know 970/R290 is overkill for a 1080p MOBA)
  22. Thanks for answering my poll question earlier, my next question is what would be the AMD counterpart of i5-4590 since I'll be building an Oculus-supported rig next year. PS: Seeing GameDebate's site, FX-6300 is a bit better than 4690K but I'm not sure if it is accurate.
  23. Hi guys, I'm stuck at picking a viable home/work PC for mom. I'm somehow limited to $80 budget. She don't play BF4 or AC3 whatsoever game. 100% would be used for social medias, emails, and MS Office apps. What would be the best of the three? Here's a quick rundown of 5200 and 5800 builds: CPU: Athlon X2 5200 Heatsink: Deepcool MOBO: Various with Radeon X1250 RAM: 2GB DDR2 800MHz PSU: 450W Case: Rise 831 CPU: Pentium E5800 Heatsink: 775 MOBO: G31 DDR2 PSU: 350W RAM: DDR2 2GB 800MHz GPU: nVidia 8400GS Case: Rise 831 OS will be Win7 x64. And yes, I'll be upgrading it to 4GB of RAM.
  24. I'm planning to buy mom a payday gift of ~$70. This is 100% be used for Office apps, emails, and movie watching. I can't decide on whether getting an Intel or AMD (though I myself have an AMD gaming rig): (Estimated prices) Intel: CPU: Pentium E5800 (heatsink sold separately on this) - $6 + $3 for the heatsink MOBO: G31 DDR2 - $15 PSU: 350W - $7 RAM: DDR2 2GB 800MHz - $11 GPU: nVidia 8400GS - $9 Case: Rise 831 - $7.5 Keyboard + Mouse: Generic USB combo - $5 Estimated total: ~$63.5 AMD: CPU: Athlon x2 5200 -- $35 Heatsink: Bundle with CPU MOBO: Bundle with CPU RAM: DD2 2GB 800MHz - $11 PSU: 350W - $7 GPU: nVidia 8400GS - $9 Case: Rise 831 - $7.5 Keyboard + Mouse: Generic USB combo - $5 Estimated total: $67.5 Any other suggestions for CPU/GPU options? Feel free to comment below. If you need any reference price list, click here. Then convert it from PHP to USD. Q/A: 1. RAM Upgrade - Yes, I'll be upgrading the 2GB into 4GB weeks after the initial build. I just need to run it properly and be used for a couple of weeks or so 2. Budget - I'm getting "used" parts for the build. My expected pay is only around $200, $120 of it will be on my upgrades to my gaming rig. 3. OS - Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 4. HDD - I have a spare 160GB HDD on hand, which makes it "free" 5. Size of monitor - 15" 1024x768
  25. How do I add BGMs on Java? I'm currently building a GUI-based Magic Square simulation and I'm planning to put it a background music on that. I tried two "test" codes but both didn't work. I put my music file on my source folder and a copy in D:/ root folder. public static void music(){ /*AudioPlayer myBackgroundPlayer = AudioPlayer.player; ContinuousAudioDataStream myLoop = null; try { AudioInputStream myBackgroundMusic = AudioSystem.getAudioInputStream(new File ("TFC.mp3")); Clip sound = AudioSystem.getClip(); sound.open(myBackgroundMusic); sound.start(); } catch(Exception error){ System.out.println(error); } myBackgroundPlayer.start(myLoop); AudioInputStream audioIn = AudioSystem.getAudioInputStream(MyClazz.class.getResource("TFC.mp3")); Clip clip = AudioSystem.getClip(); clip.open(audioIn); clip.start(); */ AudioPlayer BGP = AudioPlayer.player; AudioStream BGM; AudioData MD; ContinuousAudioDataStream loop = null; try{ BGM = new AudioStream (new FileInputStream ("TFC.mp3")); MD = BGM.getData(); loop = new ContinuousAudioDataStream (MD); } catch (IOException error){ System.out.println(error); } BGP.start(loop); } For my main, I instantiated an object to call it.
