davidgr95 reacted to Mira Yurizaki in Very high RAM usage (90% ish)
Yeah, Killer stuff has been known to leak memory. So I propose two COAs:
Remove the network driver suite and hope Windows can use a default driver. Use the "Killer network driver (driver only)" link on https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z170A-GAMING-M3.html#down-driver&Win10 64 -

you can hire a professional to look at it, its really hard to debug something that doesn't even give an error message over a forum. you could check the windows logs and see if anything pops up. maybe try doing a live windows boot and see if that works. i sometimes use a process monitor to see at what function the process halts. you could probably try that best. configure it to only show results for the game you're trying to start. but before you do that, check your windows system logs for any errors.

davidgr95 got a reaction from Enderman in Is CPU kill?
Damn.. Didn't konw that. I'll keep that in mind for future reference. But the update never finished, it was partway through when my tower started looking more like a chimney than a computer.
I really don't think my PSU died, when I tried to boot on another board, all the fans were spinning, and the LED on the GPU came on. I could be wrong of course.

FX series from AMD DOES NOT have integrated graphics at all.
So why don't you try another graphics card to see if it post at all.
-
davidgr95 reacted to Jacktastic-Mofo in Is CPU kill?
The FX CPU's don't have a iGPU so they can't output a display, however I'm guessing the problem in this case may be your CPU / MOBO.

Because the board may be kill along with either the CPU or GPU, likely the CPU. CPU might be kill.

That board + FX-9590 = much toastiness.
Nevermind. Misread based on a later post.
Diregard this.

So you believe that g sync is worth the 200$ price difference between the acer and the asus one?

Well if everything's running fine at its rated clocks then it's fine...technically. CX power supplies are known to not be the best quality.
Well, if you were to upgrade from a 650Ti then yes, you'll need a bigger and better PSU.

davidgr95 reacted to PBaines in HTC One M7 charging issues
The early M7's power buttons are flat, and the later model ones have a slight raise.
Best thing to do is if the connector is broken, is get a new charging assembly. a very time consuming process and would be quite hard but probably the only option you have if it is indeed beeeroken

davidgr95 reacted to rentaspoon in Bent pin on FX 8350. Fixable?
Next time you need to clean a CPU with pins, lay it flat on a new cheap car sponge, that way its cheap enough not to bend the pins but strong enough to allow force on the top of the CPU

Depending on where it is, it may not even matter.

davidgr95 reacted to creativename in Bent pin on FX 8350. Fixable?
Even if its completely broken off, if you can get it to make contact, it would work. Carefully bend it back into place.

davidgr95 reacted to Xaring in Bent pin on FX 8350. Fixable?
Yes, get a small flathead screwdriver, tweezers, a nice light source and a magnifying glass
