Hey LTT forum , I am a 290x for a few months now , and I just upgraded my CPU to a 4770k (costa rica) from my FX 8350 , which gave me a few FPS in GTA V , I will think about OCing the 4770k , but I have a problem with my GPU. The Rog Matrix 290x was getting way too hot , 90C hot.I bought a Kraken G10 bracket with a corsair h55 AIO cooler , the card reaches 45C max now , so I was thinking about OC headroom , the card has Elpida memory chips , which have a limited OC potential (Hynix seem to be better) , the core has 70% Asic quality , not sure if it matters tho. Since the kraken install , I checked GPU tweak , MSI afterburner , the voltage sliders are all gone.I cant change any type of voltage. I think the cables from the cooler have to be connected to the PCB for some kind of reason , but I don't know why Asus would do that to a card that was designed for LN2 and Watercooling where the cooler has to be off. if someone knows what caused this , please let me know , thanks

I just figured it out lel , I shorted the reset button ,and now I can turn it on , I just hope the PC can boot , the PC is on a esd workbench , so I have no monitor right now , need to get one in a few minutes

I already RMAd this motherboard once , I just got a brand new one

The problem is the motherboard , but I dont know how to fix it , is there any jumper I could reset , what connectors should I connect ?

nope , its brand new and I tested 3 different PSUs.

Well , I just installed my new Mobo , PSU and CPU , the PSU works , the CPU does , but the Motherboard ( I already RMAd this one , so its my second Z97 Gaming 5 ) wont start when pressing the power button , or shorting the power pins. ONLY with the 24pin , anyone who knows how to fix it ?

I did everything , I did a few posts in the last weeks about this actually

so only the cpu could be the faulty part now , right ? I have a g3258 , and getting a working 4770k (from a friend) , he sent it today , so it will probably be there on monday

Yes , they are sending it today , getting a new mobo and PSU

I I already tried with 2 different PSUs , they work , but there is no Bios screen , no windows , btw ich komme auch aus Wien
