I thought the beta was awesome. Only experienced one strange but but other than that, it was great. Ran like a charm on my 780 Ti at 1440p too.

Yes my bad, I totally mixed my up/down speeds and I live in Shrewsbury.

I live in a town in Massachusetts where the internet, cable, and electricity are all owned/managed by the city itself. You have no choice in using a traditional ISP. So far, their prices are a little bit higher than Charter, the main ISP in my area but I will say that my speeds have been 100% consistent and haven't been throttled whatsoever. I'd say I'm happy so far. I get 50/up and 6/down for $55 a month.

If the paste doesn't seem completely dried out, it should be fine for a quick test. I've left old paste on my CPU before and never had an issue. Just make sure you change it after your test.

Will my i7 2600 bottleneck a gtx 1070?
Technic77 replied to Actionmax3's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I had an i7-2600k and it didn't bottleneck my R9 290x or my 980 Ti at all . I can't say specifically about the 1070 but I think you'd be totally fine. -
He's much better off with a Haswell or Skylake i5 rather than any of the FX processors. The single core performance of the FX series is pretty bad.

Good idea!!

Yeah the 3GB will definitely hurt a bit but it'll only really be for 1080p gaming or video encoding stuff. It is a bit smelly isn't it?? We'll see if it's legit or not. Once I see the guy, I'll know whether I'm being ripped off.
-
We shall see!
-
It's $200 USD

IT would be totally local pickup. I'll be meeting him at huis place and seeing them run in his rig first. Very true, essentially a 980 for half the price (except SLI headaches). I'll keep you guys updated!
-
Oh it's purely for a second system haha they won't be replacing my 980 ti ^.^
-
True, I know they're getting older for sure which is why I asked. But yeah, they're pretty hefty!
-
True, I'm gonna have the guy test them in his rig in front of me.
-
So I called this guy on Craigslist who is selling two 780 ti's for $200. Not each... for both. This is a steal right? Like, I should totally jump on this, right? Just wanted to see if you all thought it was a great deal too.
