    Another, another Zen 2 Leak

depends what AMD has done. Its not entirely impossible that they optimized the Pipeline a bit more for higher clockrates. The Chip is based on Zen but mostly new, so its entirely possible that they modified the Pipeline. Intel did the same THing from Northwood to Prescott and increased the Pipeline Lenth... And its not uncommon to do that if you do a complete redesign...

    PSU upgrade help?

naa... https://www.tweakpc.de/hardware/tests/netzteile/corsair_tx550m/s08.php Fan noise is a bit on the high side and he has the money, so he can get a decent, quieter PSU...

AMD slash the price of Zen+ CPUs across the board (US only for now)

Yeah and I payed 439€ for my Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 64. And I've seen the card for 379€. Right now a VEGA 64 Card that seems good as well (and would even be better for me because of DVI) is there for even less than that -> 359€...

    PCI-lanes (X58 SB + X5650)

No, you're just overthinking it. And forgetting that X58 only has PCIe 2.0 -> half the Bandwith of PCIe 3.0 per lane... The last one is x4 from the Chipset so added latency. The light brown ones are what you want to use. I'd put the PCIe SSD in the first one and the GPU in the second one and see if it boots... The reason for that is airflow for the GPU the Card in the other obstruct the Can... PS: THe Layout of most X58 Boards is just shit...

    Another, another Zen 2 Leak

Not quite, they added another +2048bit Memory Interface, increased 64bit to 1:2 from whatever the VEGA10 had and some other slight changes. So its not just a shrink... Yeah, AMD Sandbagging on CES was weird. They never did that before. We know they will have 16 Core CPUs. They showed an 8 Core CPU just slightly beating the 9900K. That means that AMD Optimized that system to be on par with the 9900K for whatever reason. We also know the CPU might actually consume half of the 9900K CPU (+Rest of the System) They didn't mention CPU Clockrates wich either means very high Clockrates or rather low. The Rumormill rumors that the CPU might actually be clocked at only 4.3-4,5GHz vs 4.7GHz Intel... And then there is Rome. Even with very low clockrates, a single Rome beats 2 Intel Chips... So yeah, I agree that that looks like carnage...
  6. You RLY believe the Marketing/PR Bullshit?! RLY?! Just look at the PSU: 750W: https://www.kitguru.net/components/power-supplies/aris-bitziopoulos/corsair-hx750-psu-review/3/ 1000W: https://www.kitguru.net/components/power-supplies/aris-bitziopoulos/corsair-hx750-psu-review/3/ Where you see the "radiators"?? Where do you see the bigger heatsinks?! I give you a hint: They ain't there. They are the same. That's why I've written it in that way! Because its not true. And the "40%" is just an estimate depending on many different situations. And if you look at fan RPM vs Load, you see that its about the same! Obviously... So your assumption about Wattage and Noise is not true. In truth: A PSU designed to be quiet will be quiet. A PSU that's not designed to be quiet, will not necessarily be quiet. ANd there are still many PSU on the louder side.

AMD slash the price of Zen+ CPUs across the board (US only for now)

AMD Boards, CPUs and Graphics Cards have been on and off sale in the German Shop Mindfactory in their Sale Section called "Mindstar". Right now:: 2600 : 137€ 2700X: 289€ 1800X: 199€ VEGA 64 (ASUS): 359€ Radeon 7 (XFX): 689€ ASUS X470-I: 169€ PRime X470-PRO: 139€ Prime B450M-A: 69€ B450I (ASUS): 129€ That's what's on sale there right now (only some CPUs mentioned. Seen a 1600 I think for 99€ yesterday or the day before. There are also sometimes RX570-90 as well. So it really looks like they clear their stores for new stuff...

    PCI-lanes (X58 SB + X5650)

GPU in the first PCIe, the rest whatever. Simple as that.
  9. Shows that the Market doesn't work and people don't want a good offer... The 580 is really cheap right now, though 570 even more.

    PSU upgrade help?

Not that much, Cooler Master V-Series is a very good unit. Not a good idea with VEGA. They have Problems with it and admitted it.

    PSU upgrade help?

V-Series, hands down. Though I do not know, if it will work because I haven't tested it. But I don't see a reason for it not to. Other ALternatives are be quiet Straight Power 11, Bitfenix Whisper M (tested positive).
  12. How'd you come up with that shit?! PSU ain't no motor, the relative load is not relevant as there is no kind of transmission. The absolute value are what's important + Efficiency! Meaning: A 450W Bitfenix Whisper M is quieter than the 850W Version, especially at lower loads. Because about the same efficiency, the same Heatsinks, so for the 850W to be quieter at a given load, it has to run hotter. And the 850W has a higher RPM fan as well (450W around 450-500rpm, 650W+ around 700rpm or so) And for there to be a difference, we need to talk about two completely different units -> Different Plattform And even then, in general the lower wattages are NOT louder, if designed with noise in mind. So what you want is a QUIET PSU! A PSU that is designed to be quiet, that had that in the spec sheet when beeing developed. The wattage is irrelevant. And its easier to find really quiet PSU under 750W than above that. WTF?! You want it quiet?! Or you want OC?! Can't really have both! At least not cheap.

    Ps1 games on a ps3 with a Dualshock 4

You could (almost) swap the battery for testing purposes. One of my DS3 also died but when I switched around the Batteries from one Controller to another it began to work again. Might be something to try... Both should use 3,7V Batteries. All you need to check is if the pinout is the same (but I think it was, not sure)... Or are the Buttons dead?? Or just disconnect the Battery of the DS3 and connect it with a USB Cable. It might work again.

    Downgrade Ps4 Firmware

no, its locked. Sony thought about that. So you need to get an older PS4 (PRO) with hackable firmware.

    Ps1 games on a ps3 with a Dualshock 4

sadly no. While the DS4 works mostly on PS3 there's a lot of functions missing - like the PS Button not working. So you need to get a working PS3 Controller. Is it possible that yours might only need a new battery??
  16. That's not true. AMD has 24 Lanes with Ryzen CPU (well, the CPU really has 32 but is limited by the Socket/Package), while 4 are for the Chipset, you have 1 True CPU PCIe Interface with 4 Lanes and the other one is tunneled through the Chipset. So you have the full bandwith for both. And its not just this particularly Board, its what the CPU/Chipset combination allows. ...wich is what I said. And watch the Video! Intel Has 4 Lanes to the Chipset, wich acts as a PCIe switch, so the Bandwith is limited. While on AMD you do not have that issue as the CPU has 4 Lanes for an m.2 Slot. But you can bash AMD for not allowing the other 8 Lanes that the CPU comes with. No, if you want to use the whole bandwith, you have to sacrifice the lanes for the Graphics cards on Intel. Otherwise the Bandwith is shared between the two m.2 SSDs Because the Chipset is connected with PCie x4 to the CPU it is irrelevant if the Chipset allows another 50 PCIe lanes because it has to go through the x4 Slot. more or less. If you use both (ie copy from SSD1 to 2), you are limited by the Chipset...

    3770K or 4771?

Try it yourself. You already have the parts. You can do the benchmarkes yourself, can't you?
  18. If you use the M2P Slot at the buttom, your second card will run with PCIe x4 instead of x8. That's the "advantage" of the 16 Lanes the Intel CPU has, the Rest is in the Chipset - wich is also connected with PCIe x4.
  19. That both SSD will share bandwith or reduce the Bandwith the Graphics Card has.
  20. No, you don't, if you don't put it into the second PCIe Slot for SLI/CF, wich also reduces the PCIe Bandwith by half. Intel CPUs do not have enough lanes, the second one will be on the Chipset links. I think it was this video that talks about this:

Detroit: Become Human will use Vulkan exclusively over DirectX on PC

Because Vulkan is supported since Windows 7, DX12 is not. And all you need is a GPU from 2012 (Radeon GCN and Kepler on nV Side), so there isn't really a reason to not do it. Linux doesn't have anything to do with that, that you can use a low level API that might be close to the PS4 API and also support it from Windows 7 onwards does.

Detroit: Become Human will use Vulkan exclusively over DirectX on PC

Do you have any informations about the differences between the two?? As far as I know, Vulkan is basically mantle with just renamed features (well, more or less)...

Slim case options : Silverstone RVZ03 or ML08?

You need the NH-L9a-AM4. This one: https://geizhals.de/noctua-nh-l9a-am4-a1698579.html NOT that: https://geizhals.de/noctua-nh-l9a-a857505.html Still, the CPU Cooler might get rather loud and only barely cools the Chip.,,, In the bigger Case a Noctua NH-L12S would fit, not in the smaller one though.

    VEGA 56 for productivity

I can only speak for gaming and RX480/8GiB (Powercolor Red Devil) to VEGA 64 (Sapphire Nitro+) and the difference is somewhere in the +50% range. Very noticable.
