  1. So I'm looking for a budget card and these two seemed to be the cheapest. They are a single fan card and I wonder how it performs when compared to other 1060 cards with dual-fan. My very main concern is how the noise is compared to other cards. Cheers. Update: I also found a Galax 1060 card at a very affordable price and I wonder how it compares to the two listed above (Link:http://galaxstore.net/GALAX-GeForce-GTX-1060-OC-6GB_p_108.html)
  2. Thanks for the reply. I forget to mention, I choose the i7 for hyperthreading and rendering purpose. So I push my graphics card down to 1060.
  3. I'm going to use this build for a modest CPU overclocking. I value stability and aesthetics, therefore I choose the Cryorig cooler. I know the cooler is not that good and doesn't deliver the best performance, but will it work if I just slightly overclock my CPU? The mobo is also another concern, as I try to squeeze my budget near 1k. Guys please help me out thanks. Update: I choose the i7 for better rendering (hyperthreading) 2nd Update: Aiming for a 4.2-4.5ish OC. Wanted it to be stable for rendering purposes, which might take hours and can't afford to crash. 3rd Update: I know I shouldn't care too much about the looks of my build, but will the cryorig c1 cooler work for my modest and stable OC? Or are there any "cooler" options. Note that I don't like bulky and big cooler like the hyper 212... Don't hate on me please lol... 4. Hey guys, I wanted the PC mainly focus on faster rendering time for Adobe Premiere software. I know the core i7 will perform best, but I've done some research that might not happen given my budget. I know I'm greedy and try to build a pc that migh not happen with my budget, so I really need you guys' help. TLDR: Purpose: Fast Adobe Premiere Render (also 1080p Gaming, 60 FPS with high to ultra on current games E.g. BF1) Budget: 500-700 Max (Keep it as cheap as possible, anyone that can sell me good quality used parts will be nice) My initial thoughts on parts: CPU: 4690/(k), 6600/(k) (really want that core i7 hyper threading, but i'm poor AF) Motherboard: Cheap but solid (Supports 16gb, case I need16GB) GPU: Thinking about GTX 1060 3gb (but kinda too expensive, RX 460/470 better?, really want solid performance fo gaming) Ram: Cheapest shit 16gb Storage: Cheap but solid SSD 240GB PSU: cheap but solid Case: Cheapest shit (fits everything in)
  5. I was researching for a projector for my home theater setup, and this is perfect. Full HD and short throw!? Things could not get better. Although I am not going to use on a 200' screen but able will definitely try if I bring this out to somewhere I can. I though I would only be able to use whatever project I bought in my house, now if I am lucky enough, I will be able to carry this bad boy around. Twitter: @RichardTang18
  6. Thx guys, its amazing how fast you guys reply. I guess I'll go with the ddr4 and stick with the 970 to lower the cost...
  7. Yes, I'm a complete noob. I'm trying to figure things out. I am interested in intel i7 5930k, since it fits my price range and gives the most core and power in this range. I went to intel's website and it said it supports ddr4. I was wondering if it would still work if I plug in DDR3 into the motherboard instead of ddr4. Btw, one more question. I am planning to get the gtx 970 alone with 5930k, what is the cheapest yet good motherboard should I get? (Should I spend a bit more money to get the 980 instead or 970 is pretty good enough for gaming and rendering?) Thank you very much guys! I'm new here, hope you guys could show some love.
