How's the camera in your 4s, M8 not an "legit camera". There's probably been more R&D dollars spent on the cameras in those than any DSLR.

Canon 1200/1300D with the kit 18-55 lens (or Nikon/Sony Equivalents) would be a good starting point . You'll want to replace the lens with something a bit better as soon as you can afford it though.

One thing I would say to any beginner landscape photographers, wide isn't always better, it's often better having a tighter shot then a superwide one with nothing interesting in it.

I would say 8/10. The composition is amazing and the photo has an awesome space vibe. The sky is amazing, but I have to criticize the bright light next to the person on the sand. I would have used the light to create a silhouette of the subject, but that's just me... The underexposed rocks really make this image. Without them, it would have been generic and I'd have given it a 5 or 6

On the topic of sound, there is almost no scenario in which you'd get a soundcard over an external AMP.

What steps have you taken to actually try to learn the material? Nobody can help you unless you put forth effort and since you are behind that effort needs to be a lot more than you probably think.

I have tutored children from impoverished areas for free and most didn't even want to try at all. All they wanted me to do was their homework. Mental ability is normally distributed in a relatively narrow range. What separates successful students from failures is their mindset.

As I stated earlier, have you read every section of the book that the teacher has gone over? You should read it before the lecture and after the lecture. Have questions prepared before the lecture and ask them during the lecture if the teacher did not already clear your confusion.

Whether your help is really 'so shit' or not, you can learn the material yourself. There are plenty of children from ghettos that get into top tier universities without help in areas where the teachers are bad. A teacher isn't really there to teach everything, but to clarify on the main points or questions you have about the material. It is your job to teach yourself the material in high school. Elementary school is hand holding, middle school is a little more independence, and high school is where you are suppose to almost independent.

Not to be a prude, but is there any reason why you can't get an offline job?

I mean, people don't hire off of good faith. You are technically an investment to whoever is going to hire you, and with no work experience, it's going to be tough to land a job that requires a LOT  of self-discipline.

Also, I would consider your future. What job do you want to have when you are in your 30's or 40's? Are there any opportunities around you that will give you experience for that job? That would be a better option.

My advice would be to get a job working retail for a while. It's not glamorous, but at least you will get your foot in the door of the work world, and earn some cash while you are at it.

I hope I don't sound too critical, best of luck.

That sounds like possibly an issue with the device. It's too bad that Motorola's service sucks. on the topic of insane heat, my old iMac would practically burn my hand if I touched it after some... light, uhh... gaming

Good suggestion. The 4460 is fine for what I do, but I agree that I'm not getting the full potential out of my chipset.

I would get another HDD, but that's only because I'm currently running out of storage space. It appears you only have one monitor, so maybe you could save up for another one. Two monitors makes a big difference in everyday use, trust me.
