Just played a game installed on my ssd. Had no issues or dropped frames at all and pushed to highests possible settings no issues. My hdd didnt test bad but whatever its fixed now

Hey so ive been having the same probs with a similar setup (ssd boot/storage hdd) ive rulled out any hardware problems and am going to try to install a game to the ssd and get back with the results

Im still getting the same results on high or low game settings as well. I can oc the cpu a bit but im not seeing high temps or more than 55 percent load in game now either.

Just recently did a long overdue updgrade on my pc. Ran fine fpr the first week now im experiencing a few problems im hoping i get get some help on. While playing any decently demanding game im getting spikes of lag with fps drops as low as 18 every few minites but games normally run at 60fps. Did a basic diagnosis and monitoring...no overheating or high load on any components, drivers up to date, only thing out of the normal is my new gpu has coil whine. Cant seem to find the problem/bottleneck and i know its not my internet connection. Specs... Cpu - amd 4130 gpu - r9 280 oc ram - 16gb corsair vengence hdd - 64gb boot ssd/1tb storage psu - 830w Potential thoughts are that my hdd is dying bc thats where the games are stored, cpu is bottlenecking, or my psu is bad. Any advice?
