  1. I want 2 of these so i can have backdrops on my walls.
  2. Im going to have to switch the motherboard. sad I really liked this one.
  3. Well that means overclocking the 780ti for now then.
  4. Hello Everyone. I have worked hard and finally am able to upgrade my PC a little. I'm going to be buying the Gtx 1080 but I am having a little situation. I was wondering how much will my cpu bottleneck the 1080. I do realize better cpu is needed for higher resolutions and sli format. but my current use is mostly in 1080p gaming and VR HTC VIVE (maybe cs go in 4k or 1440p). I currently have in my system an AMD FX-9590 (before you say its an overclocked fx....SHUSH I KNOW). just wanted to know how bad the bottleneck will be if any. I am planning on switching to skylake later this year. but should I go for the GTX 1080 (upgrading from a 780TI) or should I upgrade my cpu and wait for the 1080TI to come out. yes I'm fully aware that I should wait to see what team red has to offer. the 9590 has done me good until the exception that the game SQUAD runs like shit ( yes its optimization issue on their part) while all the intel people are getting 60fps with lower end cards. Side subject: isnt it weird that my 780ti was VR ready on geforce experience and all the sudden its not VR ready? hmm just like that time they turned off some features on purpose..... Im also looking forward towards the new skylake cpu coming out. also as impractical as it may sound for me atleast I'm looking at the Asus ROG Maximus VIII FORMULA for my future motherboard. I probably wont use half of its features but it looks cool, it goes very well with my rgb setup and in future it will be very cool to have motherboard liquid loop. To summarize: will the fx-9590 bottleneck the 1080 enough so that I might have to upgrade cpu and motherboard first before I prepare for the new gpu lineup. Current System Specs: CPU: AMD FX-9590 GPU: EVGA GTX 780TI (blower design) RAM: 16gb DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaw 1600mhz Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 rev.3 PSU: 1000w 80+ bronze (i'm ashamed of it and it needs an upgrade to mainbrand). Thanks Everyone for trying to help me out. Sorry if I bored you with a long post.
