ok so im new to pc gaming and i cant afford any games. i know there are giveaways on the forum, but i wanted to know if anyone would help me out by gifting me a game or two on steam. ive heard my pc gamer friend say i should try older games to get the feel of pc gaming like fable 2 or fallout 3. those are two games i really want but like i said i cant afford them. steam:jmnbkr2 i will accept any game you gift!! thanks in advance!! -jellybeanbandit1

i believe windows 8 is better at gaming to a point. i personally game on windows 7 for easier support and compatibility.

i use microsoft security essentials. i would highly recommend it because it reports everything that is wrong. it also updates with windows updates, so you never forget to update. it also reminds you to scan for viruses,malware,and system errors.

glad you said that!! i was going to say it was a virus/trojan/malware, but it could be the antivirus. mse does not do this for me, but avast did it for me.

i ran into that same problem where my dslr was running out of space, so i moved them to my computer and it was like 20 something gbs. i used the windows snipping tool to reduce file size but didnt seem to degrade picture quality. plz try it to see.

i would recommend mse more because avast slowed my computer way down to unusable. but the virus detection was outstanding.

i would recommend microsoft security essentials because it doesnt use much system resources. avg and avast were the complete opposite for me.

ive read the following post and i wouldnt recommend avast as it slowed my computer way down. i would highly recommend microsoft security essentials. it alerts you immediatly when a virus/malware is being removed/quarintined and it uses near to no resources
