elecxonica got a reaction from da na in Experiences with non-techies
One of my teachers has suggested that we download a number of apps to help us in our study. None of them are available for Android. And a number of them are rather expensive for what they are.

I was watching a review of the HD 5450, which featured such gems as:
The youtuber manually focusing a lens set to auto focus
"we're getting around 20 to high 20s, which is an easily playable FPS"
"we're getting 10 to up to high tens, which as you can see is fairly playable" No, I can't see that because you're looking at the FPS, not the entire screen.

My English teacher looked at someone's on m8 and said "HTC, is that from Samsung?"

A person at my TAFE almost managed to get an SD card stuck in an iMac's optical drive slot. You have to really question that design decision...

My uncle once has an issue that his phone'scharge was dieing to fast. We tested it, and it turned out he didn't realise that the charge icon animated when cahrging and wasn't showing how much charge was left.

My mum refuses to let me buy tech gear off of Gumtree. Her reasoning - I can't see what it's like before i purchase them... I can't see what it's like when I have to pick it up from the seller.

True. I tried a Phillips CRT from 2001 or so recently and got one just from the whining noise of it.

I guess this counts, i just managed to hit a monitor into a monitor stand while plugging in an HDMI cable (the irony here is so large i could cut it with this invisible knife). It isn't the end of the world though, I only paid $5 for it. It also still works almost flawlessly.

My sister spilt water on my laptop charger. She then puts all her stuff down and then goes to get paper towel. BEFORE UNPLUGGING IT FROM THE LIVE WALL!

My parents came and woke me up this morning. Why? Because they moved my sister's PC and needed me to plug everything back in.
All 3 USB cords and an HDMI Cable.

I just remembered one. I over heard someone at my school mention that they couldn't play a game (i think it was LOL) because they didn't have an i7...

Not everyone want kids. Or at the very least, not when they are still in their twenties and enjoying life. Which you can't really do with kids.

Whats the issue?
There is nothing wrong with wanting to keep the freedom of not having to deal with a kid everyday for at least 18years.

Cause nothing says 'high quality expensive GPU' like blue PCBs and what appears to be a large sticker on the cooler.

Well, uhm, yeah. This lasted longer than I thought it would, but I think it's time for this thread to die the death it deserves, lest we need to start handing out those nasty infraction points. Fear not, I have just the tool for the job:
Jesus, people, be nice to each other, please.

In story driven games you're not supposed to identify as the character. That's the whole point of story-driven games. It's a protagonist, with a fixed story that only makes sense within certain boundaries and fixed characters.
It makes no sense making it a female character if it was supposed to be a story about a man. And a female player could just as easily idenfity with (not as) that character as a male would. Just like the opposite is true. Every man could identify with Jade, or Zoë or Samus or Lara Croft.
They will then realize that nobody will buy it. But that's ofcourse not because nobody is interested in playing that tosh, but because of toxic masculinity that has brainwashed everyone. Projection set to 11.
