I feel the most important question to ask is if you're picking up a retina or a non retina. If you aren't getting a retina, it's not worth it (it's from 2012, not upgraded since then, not worth it for the price.)
I see your point, but at the same time you're more or less saying that someone else should be paid less for their work because it inconveniences you, and they should just have to deal with it.
Additionally, do you use/pay for Vessel? or purchased any other sort of merch or donations to LTT? Because if you do then that makes ad block fine, in my opinion.
Netbooks at proper netbook price are actually great for schools. I have a Stream 11, it's $300 it lasts all day on battery, it supports dual band, it's relatively drop proof, thin and light.
Basically, great concept, the older ones sucked though.
The aforementione ebay and craigslsit, but also I've found that you can pick up stuff from car boot sales and other "markets" on occasion, though testing may be difficult and selection may not be amazing.
I don't so much have sentiment with my tech, but I more have "I could get rid of this, but it's not worth anything to sell, and I could have a use for this hence I shall keep if forever".
I think the other thing you have to remember is that AMD has sponsored LTT as well in the past (like here, here(?) and here) and the fact that the website isn't really updated that often (if ever).
I believe it to be the Blackmagic URSA cinema camera.
Also, I have to say that that's not a bad price for a camera of that caliber. Particularly when you consider that the FS700 Linus uses is around $8000.
They really aren't. Look at how bad non-modded skyrim is. They're maybe not as bad as some other companies, but they are not PC first. Also, the fact they were promoting console stuff at Quakecon also shows this.
