  1. Personally I feel like at the budget they chose, appearance should be an afterthought
  2. I'd imagine that might've been Linus misspeaking, as everywhere else it says 32GB
  3. As someone struggling to figure out what parts I need due to a super volatile GPU market, I tend to post on all three just to be safe. Currently going for a 7950X3D, 96GB of RAM, and an RTX 4090 for my base parts. Yes, yes I do need it.
  4. Gaslighting, specific verbiage, dodging the actual topics at hand, and trying to defend himself even though everyone (who's not a superfan that thinks Linus can do no wrong) is calling him out on it, when the original GN video was posted OUT OF CONCERN. @LinusTech, do better, please. You're investing in a lab, but the past has shown (for example, the 4090 review, in Cyberpunk, settings weren't double checked and the game wasn't restarted just to make sure they were applied) that the accuracy of the data (y'know, something that's very important for a public database of benchmarks and tests) isn't taken care of. Automation will only hurt this.
  5. For a game where "you can do nothing but pleasantly float" (direct from the trailer) it's oddly engrossing. I have almost thirty hours in it and have fallen asleep with it running more than once. Screenshot is relevant In case this is the first time you've heard of it I urge you to spend the like $4 for it plus the DLC and give it a shot
  6. Depends on the fans I go with! Was thinking Noctua A12x15chromax.black.swap fans
  7. Yeah, that's true! But as I said, a friend is sending me her old 12900KS which is enough performance for me, plus the 4090 is pretty much a requirement due to Blender performing SIGNIFICANTLY better. Price cuts, I sure hope so, dropping $1600 on a GPU alone is a lot.
  8. Budget (including currency): $3000-$4000 USD Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Cyberpunk 2077, Blender, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Existing parts list, CPU is free from a good friend, I'm upgrading from a Zephyrus G14 (2022), and I'll be buying likely around March or April next year. I'd much rather go NVIDIA because of Blender. I'd like to stick with the FormD T1, as I travel a lot! All I really need is help figuring out the best stuff to fit inside the T1, preferably from Micro Center
  9. Wow, I have posts here from 2018 and 2017. Damn, hi!

Here's hoping! I've grown out of my "cringe Redditor" phase!
