  1. I had some issues with my setup when I first got the sound bar but it magically went away but it's come back and I have no clue what's wrong or how to fix it. Just some info on the setup first: JBL 800 pro sound bar LG C1 Connected through e-arc (enabled in TV settings) Pass Through Mode (TV Settings) Dolby Digital Plus (TV Settings) The issues: The sound bar will go on standby after about 15 minutes. (This isn't consistent but is annoying as all hell) The TV does recognise that it's a Dolby Atmos device (as netflix shows the options on their content), however it seems like the connection gets dropped or something because it shows that it's been connected via Dolby surround on the sound bar randomly. The audio controls on the TV remote don't control the sound bar. This used to work up until a couple of days ago when it stopped. It's also worth noting that for a while the TV wouldn't connect to the sound bar at all when this happened. It's worth noting that I tried the magic remote setup for the JBL soundbar after the audio controls stopped working and it made no difference. The controls still wouldn't work. I know they're kind of minor issues, but any help with figuring these out would be much appreciated.
  2. I've got to agree with the quality issues. I think LTT needs to slow down, figure things out and then, maybe then can build back up again. The cooler thing was dumb, a dumb mistake that shouldn't have been made. The corruption or paid biased stuff doesn't hold water with me.
  3. I've brought the board to a shop, they're going to run some tests with multimeter, etc, I'll find out tomorrow if the tag is legit ?
  4. I looked for burns but it's a black board so it's not the best, there's none on the wires coming out but it's definitely dead
  5. There were some stand offs in the case already installed but I he didn't screw into them, the board was flexing like crazy, could that have prevented it or do you still think it's dead?
  6. Hey guys, so my brother tried to build his first pc today. He did the normal thing of checking that it works outside of the box (it did). Then built it into his case and tried turn it on. At which point everything flashed on for a second, he smelt burning and he turned it off. I've come along and found a few things. He didn't use spacers between the motherboard and case (so it was touching it directly). I've also tried the power supply and found that it no longer works (and slightly smells of smoke). So I know the smoke was the power supply (it was an old Chinese thing from a prebuilt pc he ordered a few years back). So my gut feeling is telling me that his pc parts should be ok, but the power supply is dead. I did check for burn marks on the motherboard, etc but couldn't find any. What do you guys think? And is there anything I can do before ordering another power supply for him to make sure his other parts are still alive. (We don't have a spare PSU).
  7. Not particularly. I was looking at marktplaats but at the moment it seemed that it was just people linking to crappy websites or people wanting it to be picked up and I live too far away to travel there by train.
  8. I've just got some random c and c# stuff, for example one is a random video editor (takes a video, makes random cuts and merges them together), or I'm making something to navigate the web looking for specific topics(just to see if an ai can learn to look for stuff in particular without much guidance). And that stuff doesn't take much power, just more time, so rather than leaving my pc on overnight I want something that I can just throw it at.
  9. They doesn't seem to be many, there's a couple of websites but the amount you pay for how old the hardware is, it's kinda crazy (part of why I came on here to see if anyone knows sites I'm missing)
  10. Hey guys, To sum it up I'm looking at either building or buying a cheap machine for a server that I can use on personal projects of mine. I'm based in the Netherlands so I'm looking at European stores and I can't seem to find anything that I'd say is reasonable. I'm not looking for anything particularly beefy, just something powerful enough that I can throw stuff it's way and not have to worry about it taking a long time to do. Does anyone have any advice on where to look for machines (or parts) that'll do the job without paying a premium?
  11. Yeah that is, do you know much about any of their other phones?
  12. That sounds good but it's way out of my price range
  13. Alright I'll take a look at it. Do you know the specs?
