  2. Where are you located? It might be a better bet to get an asus pb278q for only 100 more if you are in Canada.
  3. I can definitely see sales of these dwindling as manufacturers like Asus and Benq lower their prices
  4. so.... Korean monitors aren't that great of a deal. I mean, right now you can grab an asus pb278q from ncix for 499. And that's an A+ panel.
  5. I would take a good look at your potential import fees.
  6. I just bought one and in the end it wasn't very cheap. In Canada for an xstar off eBay the price is 350, then tack on 55 dollars for duty and taxes. You are probably better off grabbing an asus pb278q for 100 dollars more.
  7. From your experience is this the norm when shipping to Canada or the US? At that price the total comes close to $400..... which isn't such a great deal for a reject panel Thoughts?
  8. Thanks! I did the math and the current can be handled easily by the cable, so it is safe on a single 12v rail psu.
  9. I just find it strange that they are included in almost every corsair package. Physically speaking, with one 12v rail I don’t think you have to even out the load on the psu. The only concern is if the single cable can handle 25 amps.... that's 300w draw at 12 volts.
  10. Thanks for the fast responses everyone! I'm just interested in cleaning up my cables a bit, I'm actually running them in cf so I have four large pcie cables running to my graphics cards.
  11. Hello! I have a question regarding the ax1200i psu from corsair. Included are cables that go from one 8 pin pcie connector on the psu to two (6+ 2 pin) connectors. Because this psu is a single 12v rail, is it correct that I don't have to worry about load distribution, and I can power one r9 290 using this split cable? To reiterate, that would mean powering the card from a single 8 pin connector on the psu, while the card required 2x8pin connectors. Thanks!
  12. First of all, there are no sub $300 dollar ips 1440p panels on the market other than the Korean ones. The cheapest I can see is the benq bl2710pt for 499 cad. Second, with the Korean panels you can oc to 120hz if lucky- try that on a brand name monitor. Third, you can mod the hell out of the Korean panels, removing the bezel and ending up with a thin Vesa mounted monitor on the cheap, another thing you can't do easily with the offerings from asus and samsung. Korean panels are definitely still relevant
  13. How about an xstar dp2710 from eBay? Check out tek Syndicate, they bought over 25 and have had no problems. Mine is on its way in the mail
  14. I still think it is amazing that you can get 2x R9 290s for the purported price of one of these new cards....That's nearly double the performance for the price. I just bought two sapphire tri x 290s for $580 CAD on kijii, not used for mining. It is a really neat option if you have the psu to support it.
  15. Yayy! I wouldn't mind seeing some Lenovo Thinkpad reviews. They are great machines!
