1440p 144hz. good balance between sharpness and smoothness. either 2070 or 5700 won't have any problem running 1440p.

You can but you'll have to open up the card and lose Warranty (as you'll have to peal off the warranty sticker) to disconnect the LED header.

If you can comfortably afford the 5700XT that's desirable, you can always undervolt, tweak fan curves and so on just play and mess around with the card to find your sweet spot... while it's always best have extra performance without need than lack it when you do need.

for gaming I like Asus one better.
but if you're not a hard core gamer. then MSI would be a better choice. cheaper, slightly better color and curved, more immersive for movies

For G-sync. well, if you're sensitive to screen shuttering then you might need a G-sync. or simply turn in-game V-sync on and accept some little input lag. if you never use the g-sync and never have any problem, then forget about the sync, you don't need it.

I used to have AOC V2Q. color quality is ok. 75hz gives some extra smoothness. very slim design. but the panel failed after 6 months... -*-

    get Dell.

I would say 27" is the maximum suitable size for 1080p. anything bigger than that will start to get blurry and annoying.

Pro gamer choose TN over IPS because
    1. TN usually has less input lag than IPS. every ms does matter to them. (don't confuse between pixel response and input lag, they're different)
    2. washed-out color of TN actually benefit competitive gaming like CS. because you can see a bit clearer on the dark corner of the map.

From my experience. For pixel response. 1ms and 4ms different are very small and trust me, you won't notice it (unless you play Osu). 4ms is already low enough to prevent ghosting effect. I would go for IPS because of better color and much much better viewing angle (I usually get annoyed by bad viewing angle of TN)
$150 higher is quite worth it i guess, if you plan to use it for 5 years+

IPS is better than VA in almost every way. Except Quantum Dot VA, that's as good as Hi-end IPS. but that MSI is not Quantum Dot VA.

1440p 144hz g-sync vs 4k 60hz?? It is not an upgrade, but downgrade lol.  Yes, 2 1080s are enough to handle 4K at 60fps. But imo 1440p 144hz is much better than 4K 60hz. 1440p on 27" is already good enough, changing to 4K won't be mind blowing different, beside doubling the load on your GPUs. Some game UI can't even scale properly in 4k (e.g. Uplay, old EA games). I see no point to give up 144hz just to get 4K.

I currently using it and it's amazing. but I recommend 27" ver. rather than 32" ver. I don't like 32" because it's too large. 27" is a sweet spot, plus it has more pixel density, and also cheaper, only 479.

Is it better than PG278QR or PG279Q? No. but at least it's cheaper.

    Both are the same except,
PG278QR is TN, while PG279Q is IPS.
so, PG278QR has better response time, while PG279Q has better color and viewing angle.
    I would go for PG279Q.

Untitled got a reaction from Arcana in BenQ XL2411 or Asus VG248QE?
Asus has a better color as you see here:
but it's also more expensive. But some CS:GO player went for BenQ instead of Asus because of lower contrast ratio (washed-out color make you see easier in the dark scene, give you a bit of advantage). If you don't really care then get Asus.

btw, even tho these models are outdated, they're still pretty worth it because they're cheap (anywhere else outside US). If you really want a newer model then get Asus MG248QR, which is better but more expensive ofcoz.

Your computer should be able to play all e-sport game at 144 fps just fine, except PUBG you need to put low setting if you want 144 fps. If you're really low on budget, then get either Asus VG248QE or BenQ XL2411. both are good budget 144hz monitor.

I don't think you gonna get 144fps+ at 1440p with that spec. it's gonna be 100ish., unless you put all setting to low-mid.
