  1. You've got a valid point. I think we've got a winner. Thank you!
  2. Hey all, I currently have a Sapphire 6900xt Nitro+ SE that appears to be failing. So I will be replacing it tomorrow and could use some advice. Locally, I can pick up either a 6900xt Toxic LE (watercooled card) or a 6950xt Nitro+. Both would be the exact same price, so the choice comes down to performance alone. Do you think that the Toxic Limited edition would perform well enough to justify grabbing that instead of the Aircooled 6950? Any input is greatly appreciated!
  3. The first suggestion ended up working as a solution! Ran into a bunch of other hiccups unrelated to this, but the computer is alive and well. Thank you! IMG_7950.HEIC
  4. The first suggestion may potentially work if we can get a long enough (300mm with right angle female end.) The second we have tried. Slot 4 is just 5mm shy of working unfortunately.
  5. I have an unraid build coming together utilizing an AMD 3990x on an MSI Creator TRX40 motherboard. I'm using 3x AMD 6900xt's. I am having an issue finding a board and case that can fit these graphics cards. I have pictures to show the issue, but basically a gpu is filling PCIE slots 1 & 3, and slots 2/4 are covered by the coolers. This poses an issue as it won't let me run extension cables for a vertical mount. Does anyone have any advice for how I can get 3 large graphics cards in this system? Thanks!
  6. Hello all, I am looking to migrate to a new asset management software within my company. Currently we are using Asset Manager 2014 Enterprise from Kaizen. Obviously we can upgrade to the latest version but I would like other possible options. Some of the things I'm looking for: Tracking of 1100+ items Minimum of 3 concurrent users Ease of migration from Kaizen Jira integration is a big plus. Custom reports or at least good reporting options are a big plus. I've already looked at Kaizen Web Edition, and Asset Panda. AP is a bit more money than I'm looking to spend. If you have personal recommendations from experience, that is extremely helpful to me. Thank you!
  7. For the sake of humoring me, could you answer my question? It's not my money, and it's not really my choice if we go with something else like a NUC+adapters. Thanks!
  8. Hey all, I'm in the market to get a couple GPU's to run 5 displays. 4 will be 4k. THIS IS NOT FOR GAMING. I DO NOT care about game performance, this just needs to be a computer that always runs the 5 displays. So my question, can I get away with buying a couple 1050's or so and just using them for the multi-display config? It's been awhile since I've bought any hardware so wasn't sure if I HAD to get something that was SLI capable, being that the 1070/80 are the only one's sli capable. Thanks!
  9. I tested everything at work. The psu tested fine with a tester, and put out the right amount of volts, then proceeded to power the "super computer" at work. Ram was fine and gpu was fine also. Going to assume dead motherboard now. Might end up using this as an excuse to go to intel.
  10. Very familiar. I use that trick to diagnose dead computers at work. But I had thought since it still powers up, but doesn't post, it might not really prove any results? I also wonder if my overclock killed my motherboard. 4.4ghz on a 970 chipset. It's been there since christmas of 2014.
  11. The only real advantage, would be the flip out screens on the canon equivalents (i.e. Canon T3i). If you're filming yourself, it can be a godsend to have that tool at your disposal. Where as it takes some practice to get the focus right on a non flip out screen such as on the D3300. Also in my experience, there is a bit more lens support for Canons vs Nikon cameras. There's also Magic Lantern. Which is essentially a hack that allows you to film in raw, or high bitrates with canon cameras.
  12. I posted the other day about my PC black screening after exiting game like BF1 or FH3. As of last night, it seems that it was the last straw. The screens went black when exiting a session, and when I went to restart, they never came back. No post, no beeps, nothing. Everything I've done to test so far: -unplug both sticks of ram separately -move each stick of ram to another slot one at a time -removed cmos battery -moved gpu to next pci slot -unplugged all usb devices -unplugged all sata connections -unplugged network card -checked all power supply connections Thankfully I work in IT, and I have access to some spare parts. I will be able to work on it again in two hours after class. The main things I'm thinking are; dead motherboard, dead gpu (output), or dying power supply. Specs are in signature. Any suggestions on what could be causing this? Appreciate it. *Note* This computer worked for two years prior to this set of incidents. *Note*
  13. That big update they started rolling out months ago. I only got it so that I could play Forza Horizon 3.
  14. Precisely why I wonder if it's the Anniversary update that is messing with it. I have a spare SSD with a Win 8 image on it. I might try that.
  15. I'll have to check. Usually under 80. But it only goes to 100% when the screens go black. Dying GPU?
