  1. Currently without a mechanical keyboard (rip k70) because of my abnormally long arms and addiction to coffee. For my mouse, I've got the Logitech g402, and the Z323 speakers.
  2. Mucho thanko. 1 Dead ram stick. Gonna RMA. you both get +1 Internet points
  3. TL;DR. I upgraded my mobo, ram, and cpu from an old Athlon CPU. After upgrading, I've been getting blue screens when I play games. League of Legends, MGS5, and Fallout 4 crashed from errors like System_Service_Exception and Critical_Process_Died. I feel like my critical processes have died. What do you think is wrong? New CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor Motherboard: Asus H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: GeIL SUPER LUCE 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory Old CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard: MSI A78M-E35 Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Ninja Edit: I'm using a pirated version of Windows 10. I had an official Windows 8 key, but I lost it.
  4. Mouse. Hands down. Can't stick to using an old logitech wireless.
  5. I'm relatively new to the PC scene, I built my computer 2 years ago and upgraded this winter. I was hoping to do some overclocking with Afterburner but I dont want to blow up my house. This is my parts list and my cpu is in the budget area. I was wondering if anyone could help me overclock. Right now I'm at a 1100 mhz core clock with a 1600 memory clock. I would like to know if any other settings need tweaking like my core voltage and power limit, right now I left that at +0. CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard: MSI A78M-E35 Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 380 4GB Video Card Case: Fractal Design Node 804 MicroATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
  6. Hey buckos, I've come across some money recently from selling my body. my current build uses a 2 year old X4 760K along with a R9 380X I purchased a month ago. I've ran past a few issues because of bottle necking and the fact that I'm using an AMD processor. I've taken the liberty of applying a budget of $150 and Im currently looking at an i3 6100, but I'm sure that there are some older generation Intel cpus. I've never tried intel, and 90% of all of you do in fact use the latest skylake i8 7560kk. Here's my full build if you need it. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Gameboymania/saved/7mNCmG. Also tr-8r tax.
  7. Well. Fuck. I've got about 500 gigs of games I need to download. Is there another option where I don't have to spend a whole day downloading things?
  8. Would I need to redownload any other programs? like my games and adobe software?
  9. Now, I found an 128 kingston SSD on ebay for roughly 20 dollars in USD and bought it. I just now installed the SSD into my case, all wires and all that and googled up Linus's video on using an SSD as a boot drive and his HDD as storage( ). I went through all the steps right after he did the ran the simple volume wizard. I went through all the steps, but I didn't see that the HDD was still set up as the boot drive instead of just a normal drive. I went back into BIOS and double-checked, same thing. Anyone here know what I did wrong and/or how I can solve that? It's still a new PC, about 1 month old.
  10. I broke the internet. I fixed the internet. Sorry about being late, connectivity issues and COX being a huge cock. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rqHQrH Here's my partlist and I'm looking for a mid-tower.
  11. Everybody has their first build, mines was pretty eh. I upgraded from consoles a year ago using Austin Evans. Man oh man was I an idiot, The components were a low wattage psu and a atrocious case (Rosewill Line-M). I've racked up enough money this year to purchase a modular 700w psu and the R9 380 for a steal. Now for the case, I've heard of the CM Haf 912 but I think I need to find out some other options. Thanks.
  12. I'm using a 430w corsair psu and I'm currently getting MSI's R9 380, do I need more wattage? Kinda dont wanna burn a hole in my dorm Thanks, Here's some cat tax.
  13. I recently bought the R9 380, an upgrade from my R7 260X. I just wanted to take an extra step in finding out what precautions I need to perform before I install it later this week. Yeah I'm paranoid.
