I work as tech support for a cable company. We get some pretty fun calls. A few examples:

Customers not plugging in any cables to their computers or screens.
(Because i bought wireless internet from you! This should be wireless!)
During a city-wide power outage, I actually had a few calls regarding our inability to deliver cable TV. When I mentioned that their TV requires electricity, most of them hung up out of embarrassment. A couple laughed and apologized.
A customer who recently upgraded to our fastest internet speed, 500 mbit, complained that there was no speed difference at all since he had upgraded from 10 mbit. Our modems have built in speed tests, so i checked it out and it was receiving 470 mbit. I gave the customer the url to speed check his computer and he told me to wait, because it would take a while. I waited and waited. 7 minutes later I asked how it was going. He got upset and said "See what I mean?! This is taking forever!". A few questions later leads to me finding out that his computer took roughly 10 minutes to boot. He thought the computer = the internet. Apparently the entire reason for upgrading his service with us was to make his computer faster.
The boyfriend of a customer called to troubleshoot their DVR. While waiting for it to complete a factory reset, he felt it was the right time to file a complaint.
-"Dude, you have a horrible selection of TV channels."
We have roughly 200 channels, so I asked him what he meant.
    -"You don't have enough porn!"
"Oh, I'm sorry about that but I don't think we will be expanding our selection of porn. You are aware that your girlfriend (the customer) has 200 mbit broadband, right?"
-"What does that have to do with anything?
I gave him a hint regarding what the internet is filled with. He laughed and said that we didn't need to finish troubleshooting their DVR anymore. I guess he went online.
There's hundreds more. People assume that we can check their emails and see what they are watching on TV (hint: we can't do either, it's illegal here so we haven't developed any system that incorporates the ability to do anything like that) and that we talk about  their private lives at the water cooler. You'd be more likely to hear "...I just spoke to someone who poured water on her modem because she heard that electronics work better when cooled!".

To be honest, that low res & highly compressed image is quite a shitty example. 😂

Edit: my apologies, i opened the wrong version hahahahahaha

About a year and a half ago I bought a 27" 1440p 144hz ips freesync screen from acer and it's fantastic. Only thing is that 1440p is more demanding than I thought and games like CoD warzone can't run with 140+ fps on an i5 9600k and rtx2070.

If you have a beast of a computer that can run all games at crazy fps, then for sure go above 1080p because it looks fantastic. But personally I regret it, because I end up downressing to 1080p in some games anyway and it looks really bad on this screen.

    I'd go for a 24" 1080p 144hz if i had a second run at this purchase.

Edit: This is the screen if you're curious: Acer 27" Nitro XV272UP

I know this is a low bar, but I love hearing about better mic and webcam. I hate how laptop mics sound.

I just realized the Macbook pro is only up to 16gb RAM, but at the same time they brag about 8k video. I'm not experienced with high res video so this is a shoutout to anyone who is: Is that RAM enough in a real-life workload for 8k editing?

Ok, Macbook pro can playback 8k full res in Davinci Resolve without dropping fames. That's kinda awesome.
