No it isn't a failure more like a fimeware error/glitch that slows the data flow of the 840evo when data is not used for a period of time. PCper has talked about this and have reported on a few "fixes" that Samsung has put out. The latest firmware has been said to fix the problem.

This is the latest report of the fix for the problem you are having

Well, I don't have any build process pictures since I was too tired to think about taking pictures.
I put it all together about 2 months ago and I had never built a computer before.

    Specs:
i7 3770k OC at 4.6 GHz             Idle: 20*C   Load under stress testing: 78*C Load under normal use: 68-70*C
    ASRock z77 Extreme4
    Corsair H80i
Corsair Vengeance LP 16 GB 1600 MHz
    Samsung 840 series 120 GB
Western Digital Caviar Blue         1 TB
Some random Seagate HDD         from my old Dell 144 GB
EVGA GTX 670 Superclocked         Can't seem to find a stable OC since it's already factory OCed
XFX 550W            Cable management is UGLYYYYYY on the backside. I don't know how else to fix it.
    LG optical drive
    Windows 7 Professional 64bit
Fractal Design R4 in Arctic White

Any criticism or what I could do to improve would be very helpful as this is my first build and I'm not overly educated.

This isn't the final location of the computer, it's in a horrible spot right now because my room isn't ready to move in to yet.

Sorry for the cell phone pictures, I don't have access to my T2i right now. I'll have better photos when I finish revamping my room.

Hi guys!!!, huge thanks for the compliments...
The h60 performed better after the mod

    stock h60 temp:
82 degrees celcious after running IntelBurn in test @high

    after h60 modification:
67 degrees celcious after running IntelBurn In test TWICE!! one after the other@high :D

it was a farely good result, so i don't regret what i did to my h60

"maybe because there was such amount of water added to the system that made temps lower...." :)

i had the h60 running for about 3hours before i installed it to my system,,

Wow this is really cool, I kinda wish I had put more of a color scheme to my build.

Does the modded H60 provide any benefits or is it purely for aesthetics?
